Here is the actual law:

659:44-a Electioneering by Public Employees

No public employee, as defined in RSA 273-A:1, IX, shall electioneer while in the performance of his or her official duties or use government property, including, but not limited to, telephones, facsimile machines, vehicles, and computers, for electioneering. For the purposes of this section, “electioneer” means to act in any way specifically designed to influence the vote of a voter on any question or office. Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

What does this mean? It means that anyone in the employ of the town or school government who uses town materials, money or time to purvey a political message, for example, to promote certain candidates or warrant articles is in violation of this law.

In my opinion, the publication from which Mr. McLaughlin read was in clear violation of 'compelled speech' laws. To be sure, CNHT deals with this kind of thing all the time. You could contact them and run it by them, as they have dealt with many cases of this. The problem is with the AG's office who will not prosecute, thus allowing these public officials to get away with using your tax dollars illegally.

Why is it that the two callers were so obsessed with age?
It's incredibly ignorant to think that because you are older than someone that you are more intelligent. Or the other way around.
Mozart was able to write symphonies by at least the age of eleven. Does this mean that his music was any less beautiful because of it?

Respect, intelligence and the like should be judged on the accomplishments and merit of the person. Not their age.

Hi Guys,
Rob Mclaughlin is so right!
We have allowed the NEA and their co-horts to dictate to us for years for fear that we would be accused of not caring about our children......
For me ,the main reason for my NO vote on the school budget is the health insurance benefits.....They are outageous!!!! Also some of the other teacher perks need to be reined in....
I work second shift and cannot afford to take time off to attend "DAY SHIFT" meetings....with Keene taxes, water bills and God knows whatever else the "LIBERAL" KEENE POWERS THAT BE are voting to tax me even more! I wish there was a way we could sign a paper that is taken to these "day shift' meetings so that our voice could be heard!!!Guess not HUH?
