Of course! Ian, I think your lack of enthusiasm about professional sports is due to the same reasons you detest professional politics - too much blind, unwavering, unquestioning devotion to a “team” and a righteous denouncement of all their enemies. I see no difference in Red Sox vs. Yankees and Democrat vs. Republican. It’s all about jumping on the wagon and waving the colors so the other jackals will let you into the watering hole. It’s sick.

Except that sports is about the fun of competition.
Politics is about coercion and hurting people.
No, neither makes a lot of sense when you apply logical thinking to it, but one is harmless entertainment, and I’m all for it.
