Good job guys.

My favorite line was the last one "Ian just told you how to get a tax deduction, just don't pay."

I really like hearing these calls. Keep them coming.

Great job, Sam!

It's not easy to ask these kinds of questions to people who truly do not understand liberty, and be able to sit quietly while they answer :)

I thought this was an enlightening discussion, and I look forward to future calls. After reflecting on the call, I think 2 things are worth noting:

1. It's very hard for Bureaucrats to answer questions about the legitimacy of their system.

Notice how I kept asking about the the number of people required to give my wants legitimacy in their eyes. The answer is, there is no legitimate number that makes it okay to violate someone's rights for another's need.

Government has shown it will continue functioning and forcing it's will on others even if nobody votes.

2. Bureaucrats don't like to see the vioence that backs up their laws. Notice how I ask,

Question: "What do you guys think should happen to people like me?"

Answer: Try to go with out your car being registered and see what happens.

Cynthia answers what I should do, not what should be done to people like me who don't register.

She did imply that the police would take care of it, and that gives the bureaucrats comfort when they can pass responsibility for their demands onto others who initiate the force. (Not my Department)

Question: "What do you think should happen to me?"

Answer: Laws are laws, if you don't like it here then leave.

Again she doesn't want to connect her believes about government with the violence. She later says to Ian, Well he asked me what I should do. This tells me that Cynthia in her own mind distorts and rearranges reality to hide the violence from herself.

When I say bureaucrats are disconnected from their violence, this is what I mean. They subconsciously distort reality so they don't actually believe they do anything forcefully. They don't believe it because they pretend not to see it.

And Wal-Mart lets me return products to any store regardless of which store I bought it. They figure out the back end finances all on their own. No surcharge, no restocking fee, no $2 "convince" fee like the government product I'm being threatened to purchase or else! :) Love these calls!
