Well then, if there is going to be anybody thrown out....then it would only make sense that more and more people need to keep on coming. I am not planning to move to Keene, too much marijuana activism and I don't smoke it, care about it, I don't even drink BUT I will stand behind the people's right to uphold what they believe to be their constitutional right. From what I hear there is a Legislator working to legalize medical and non-medical marijuana in NH. Good. Prohibition is silly. It's just nt as important to me as other problems facing the country today.

I take it you have a "keene" dislike for pot smokers? And Free Staters in general? =)

You do know that opposition helps to steel the soul in times like these? Thank you for your help.

Baloney.

The court and the bailiffs went out of their way to treat this guy respectfully and to accommodate his unwillingness to cooperate. I’m sure they thought he was a jerk, but they didn’t let on. That’s the NH way, NEWBIES."""

So basically what happened is that the charge for driving on a suspended license is a 300 dollar fine? Is Kanning going to go without a driver's license forever?

I am part of the Free State Project and just doing a lot of homework on NH before I move there, I have made my pledge to be there by 2011 and I want to be ready to be active in the community.

This is all fascinating and so American!

I once knew a defense attorney who could ridicule the entire process and the pea brained cops and the customs and rules of court just with his facial expressions, tone of voice, and overly formal manner of speech. He was a giant guy and very brilliant. That guy was a genius. You guys are right and are doing the best you can. Keep it up.

@ gu3st: I understand how you feel completely. I am still in the process of getting myself to a point where I don't FEEL like that. I know that what they are doing is noble and for a good cause. I am still trying to break down those ideas that have been brainwashed into my head by the state. It takes a little time sometimes.

@ Alan: 1. In NH you don't need car insurance. 2. I know plenty of people who can drive well that do not have their licenses. I don't know if you realize it or not but your driving could cause an accident too. So it would be a shame if either of you did. Not irresponsible. Just wanting to do things without the state's permission. We need to ask the state (fed govt.) for permission to do anything. I could give you examples but I'll wait for you to ask for them.

Driving without a licence is pretty naughty. I bet he doesn't have valid insurance without a licence.

It would be a real shame if his driving caused an accident from which a pedestrian incured serious medical bills.

But then I guess the public are free to pay for medical insurance to protect them from other peoples irresponsibility.

Indeed, I fully agree. As said, those feelings are just a remnant of the old mentality when I actually did saw them as people who have to be respected or whatever. I know now that that's ridiculous. They indeed are the bullies, basically, but the programming we've been through in our lives seems to be trying to fight that newfound perception.

But it's the truth, so it'll win out.

Govt people are the childish ones. They are like schoolyard bullies.

You hurt a schoolyard bully by making a joke out of him.

People respecting the govt is what THEY want.
