Charges Dropped Against FreeKeene’s Toby and Ian!

Radio TowerThis just in from KPD’s Sgt. Eli Rivera: He is dropping the unlawful assembly charges against Toby and I! Here’s some speculation as to why. Perhaps they realized they had no case. The regulations clearly state that permits are only for those that intend to exclusively use certain “public facilities” like electricity for a specified period of time in a specific location. Therefore, even under their own rules (and ignoring the pesky Constitution, of course) it’s quite clear that simply assembling in a public place does not require a permit.

Perhaps another reason they decided against it was because they felt as though too many activists might come out and refuse to stand for “justice” Burke in protest of his recent crackdown on courtroom sitters.

Perhaps what he says in his letter is true and that he has discovered who the “actual organizer” of Freedom Fest was and is planning on going after him. I don’t know for sure, but I do have coffee scheduled with Mr. Rivera, so perhaps I can find out more at that time and dissuade him from going after anyone.

Hopefully these government guys will start to realize that the more they crack down, the larger the response from the activists. Eventually, they should come to the conclusion that leaving us alone is the best way to protect their precious cloak of legitimacy. If they ignore liberty activists, there won’t be as much news generated, meaning other activists won’t be as enthusiastic about moving sooner rather than later, which will help them extend their rule over the ignorant masses as long as possible. Basically, if they don’t want their little party to end sooner, they should stop inviting us to it.

Anyway, thanks to Eli Rivera for making the right choice. Hopefully, he and his associates will continue to do so.

    Nice.

Nice. I expect that the main reason they dropped it lack of evidence that you and Toby were actually responsible for organizing the event. In any case at least that is one less thing you have to worry about right now, when you need to stay out of trouble for a couple of months.

    This is John Galt speaking:

This bit of great news has me breathing much easier.

I was very concerned that Ian’s 90 days that were suspended in the “Couch Case” would come back to possibly imperil him when the Freedom Fest court date came due.

My worry that the 90 days would come into play has been quashed it appears by default with this decision. Sgt. Rivera is now free to go after real criminals that are actually a threat to the peace and safety of the people of Keene, NH.

My sincere hope is that Mr. Rivera will in his future dealings on the job as a PEACE OFFICER (not just a “cop”), have the great wisdom to be able to sort out just who is victimizing the populace and who is not creating any victims at all with their actions & have the good sense to just leave them alone.

    With Liberty,

    John Galt

Yeah, under that ordinance not even the “actual organizer” is in violation. It doesn’t seem that anyone claimed exclusive use of the property. And I don’t think they have evidence that anyone was denied use of the “public area”.

Exactly. There is clearly no rule against having an event on railroad square, so long as you don’t block anyone from entering.

You already have Mr. Rivera on camera, acting like the racist, out of control, poorly trained, bully/coward jerk that he is, giving his incomplete, and improperly filled out forms to Nick & Ian, at the 2008 Keene Freedom Fest. How would it look, when he’s in Jumanjiville/Kangaroo/Keene District “court”, playing his alledged role as “Police Prosecutor”, after having personally served the same “legal notices” which he used to get you guys into court in the first place??? Has anybody on here ever heard of a *LEGITIMATE* “prosecutor” going out & *FABRICATING* work for himself??? How do you think that an incompetent jurist such as Burke can do what he does, without the *COMPLICITY* of others??? I stand by the *TRUTH* of all these statements. STEP DOWN OFF THAT BENCH, EDDY BURKAH! RESIGN! – YOU TOO, HOWARD! Yes, *INCOMPETENCE* *Can* rise to the level of ***CORRUPTION***…it certainly has, here in Keene…

…hey, if I wrote “Ian & Nick”, instead of “Ian & Toby”, or whatever, sorry guys, it’s so hard to tell the players apart, without a program…if anybody’s confused, or whatever, call me on it, on here, & I’ll correct or amend whatever…OK?…Thanks! HOPE & CHANGE FOR THE OBAMA-NATION! YA-HOOOOOOOOO!…

Nick Ryder should post as NickRyder and Nick Michelewicz should post as NickFMTV to distinguish themselves.

I think that would be up to Ian to change my account to a new name. I might have the admin power to do it, but I don’t know how. I’m not against it.

“Which “Ian” is which “Ian”, & who is “Nick”???…OOOOH! Now *THAT’S* *REALLY* *IMPORTANT STUFF*!…Gotta get our names correct for the publicist…we have such splendid little egos, don’t we???…The other day, just as an experiment, I logged in & posted as “ROCHESTER”…far as I can tell, *NOBODY ELSE NOTICED*…You guys are so open minded, that I think all your brains leaked out…
