Video: Kurt in Court

July 14, 2009 by Ian Freeman
Filed under: Jailed Activist, Update, Video

Thanks to RidleyReport.com, we have video of Kurt Hoffman’s coerced appearance in Keene district court on “failure to obey” charges. He was arrested (that video is coming) for refusing to give papers to an armed, costumed man calling himself the “Roxbury Police”.

These “activists” have NO CHANCE at ever establishing a positive image in the opinion of the majority of Keene citizens. You guys should probably pack up, relocate and try again.

I could do without a positive image, as long as liberty is allowed. The “citizens” can enjoy their slavery and be negative, just leave me alone.

you really just dont get it

  4. AnarchoJesse on Tue, 14th Jul 2009 5:47 pm

    Leave–

    No.

I’m a Keene native, Leave, and I resent your mischaracterization of Keene residents as close minded, spiteful individuals bent on using aggressive violence against people who have not harmed others.

    ;)

If you find that Keene residents become too open minded and principled for you, or they become unwilling to help you use the threat of violence to extort money from peaceful people — or to help you satisfy your impulse to run the lives of others, you may find this project helpful: http://www.freelunchproject.com/

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever does -Margaret Mead

What leave fails to admit is that he or she does not represent the thousands of people who not only live in Keene but in the land mass called New Hampshire. The activists in NH and the activists that are planning on making their move like me will change the hearts and minds of the populace by showing the depravity of the state. It’s not worth our time to attempt to convince someone that is not willing to objectively criticize the message or tactics presented here on freekeene.com

I think that you guys on the ground in Keene are certainly having an effect. Especially when you get snotty comments like this person after the government shows itself to be the violent organization that it truly is.

Yeah, Burke was hilarious: “If you wanted to be left to go to church in peace, you shouldn’t have accosted yourself, arrested yourself, and threatened to throw yourself in jail”

    Kurt: “Uh, that was y..”

    Burke: “Shut up.”

I wonder if Leave is the kind of person who would like to go house to house to ’round em up’ and try to force the Keeneiacs out personally. Probably not…

  10. granite stater on Tue, 14th Jul 2009 7:42 pm

    leave, really

  11. AnarchoJesse on Tue, 14th Jul 2009 7:54 pm

    Granite Stater–

What if we don’t? What will you do? Hurt us? I mean, I don’t think you actually think we’re a failure of a movement, otherwise you wouldn’t be telling us to “leave”.

  12. Anton Lee on Wed, 15th Jul 2009 5:17 am

Leave, AnnAmazedReader, GraniteStater are all cowards. They’d never even come up to your face to tell you that they don’t like you.

Talk about pathetic. I talked to someone from Keene and not a freestater who happened to be visiting my work. He saw my FSP bracelet and mentioned it.

If you can take your small insignificant non-scientific poll, so can I. . .and this guy liked the stuff that FreeKeene does.

Maybe, YOU should leave, Leave. I’m sure there are places you can go where you can tell others to hurt and steal from people.

They’re not leaving, and more are coming. Deal with it.

    Who is the coward?

You advertise the personal addresses of anyone working for the city (and encourage folks to harass them and their children) but leave out the address of the free stater on the video.

    Hmmmm…..

“Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment nothing can fail. Without it nothing can succeed. He who molds opinion is greater than he who enacts laws.”–Abraham Lincoln

  15. Paul on Wed, 15th Jul 2009 9:13 am

Cowards, I don’t think anyone (that I know of) supports harassing anyone, certainly not at their home, and certainly not their children. I don’t.

I’d be happy to discuss a substantive issue, but please don’t throw around broad false accusations.

Bureaucratic despotism solely relies on voluntary servitude.

    Way to go, Kurt!

  17. Mike Barskey on Wed, 15th Jul 2009 10:50 am

Wow. Very well handled Kurt! I thought your responses were far more effective than those when the LEOs accosted and arrested and jailed you.

And did I hear at the end of the video another victim of the “justice” system asking for the camera to be turned off and Burke telling him that this was a “public proceeding” (and hence the camera would stay on)? Burke – and their “justice” system – is such an arbitrary, fickle, hypocritical mess!

  18. bigmike on Wed, 15th Jul 2009 2:16 pm

Good job Curt. I think you handled yourself well.

Interestingly enough, there was a link on Strike the Root today that addresses this very issue.

    Coincidence?

I bet leave didn’t even show up. They’re only good for writing anonymous messages on blogs these statists.

I would have loved to have seen a duel. Leave, the curmudgeon versus AnarchoJesse.

IMO running a stop sign (if he actually did) or driving with a dog on your lap is just plain bad behavior.

  22. Mike Barskey on Mon, 20th Jul 2009 7:37 pm

I think running a stop sign might be unsafe, might be bad behavior, or might be perfectly safe and pleasant and kind, depending on the circumstances. And in what appear to have been the circumstances with Kurt, it seems safe and pleasant, to me.

Driving with a dog on your lap is probably in the same for me, although I’m less likely to see it as bad behavior *or* unsafe.
