Sorry to hear you guys had such a crappy experience coming over the border. As a Canadian citizen, I’d like to apologize for the treatment you received. Our federal government (who controls the CBSA) is extraordinarily paranoid when it comes to firearms in this country, and has ordered these kind of draconian measures to try and curb cross-border smuggling of firearms (mainly handguns).

If it makes you feel any better, I could turn your hair white with stories of Canadian citizens being subjected to incredible harassment and persecution by the authorities for things like accidentally allowing a firearms permit to expire. Some gun owners have been charged with crimes that don’t even exist on the books (and are thrown out of court as soon as they go to trial) but still end up having to spend tens of thousands of dollars of their own money just to defend themselves and get their property back from the government.

Wow! This is the primary reason why I have started carrying a voice recorder around with me, which can run for hours and hours, and is easily concealable. I’m glad that I don’t live anywhere near Canada. I also believe that it doesn’t matter where your are geographically, your rights are inalienable (but may be violated).

Wow, I knew the economy was bad all over, but I hadn’t realized the Canadian Border Patrol had resorted to hiring sex offenders. I wonder if they have to register over there? If so, it probably helps to streamline the hiring process.

Great job guys. It makes me sick that these people are so hot and heavy to find a bullet that they won’t even let someone turn around.

I used to live in Buffalo,NY over 20 years ago and it was nothing like this. I’ll be sure to steer clear of that little China.

Dude. I thought about moving to Canada some years ago. Not moving there was a great decision. The majority of police are the criminals, so the cloak of legitimacy should be uncovered soon. Canadians start resisting or move to New Hampshire.

How come there are never these lines, intrusions on privacy, assaults, rapes, or illegal detentions when you cross the invisible line going into Disney World, a Concert, or a Mall.

Sure those privately controlled land areas may require a certain amount of screening on the way in, but nothing like a government security checkpoint thinks they can get away with.

I used to like going to Canada, but I only go for a good reason anymore, and I have to plan for at least an hour at the border – both ways. Tyranny A or Tyranny B, they’re both overbearing police states.

Good job Pete. The creator created us with rights. Governments have no power to take away rights, just violate them.

Border Nazis I have had my own experience with them. I can’t wait until the empire falls and they have to find a real job.

    Interesting capture of audio.
Seems like you guys should rig up a recorder for just such occasions.

Sucks the US pigs made you delete footage. Some free country.
I just wish the average person were not so fucking naive and ignorant of reality.
