It's good to see Alfred Adler cited. There is more to cite, and I hope someone may be interested in checking out our website.

I think anon made a fair point and suggestion in a respectful way. Whether one agrees with it or not is another question. It sounds like cyberdoo doesn't.

I'm kind of ambivalent. I probably wouldn't use the term, but I certainly don't see it as arrogant.

In general, excellent article Sam, I enjoyed it :).

Thanks, Sam, for the great read. It's interesting to me to note that such guidelines exist, even if they follow them.

Anon, its easy to make value-less comments when you hide who you are. I'm not trying to be mean, however your comment to me is worthless because it doesn't communicate an idea worthy of reading. Its like seeing a stain on someone's clothes and telling the person in vivid detail about that stain. When you are done, what is the purpose? What have you communicated?

In reference to your statements, the use of 'dis-ease' to me was clever. It stopped me to think of its usage and how it applied. For no reason other then police harm people, they put me at dis-ease.

Yes, scam artists do use the word to bypass filters however most filters can be taught to ignore them. I use google and gmail and haven't seen any of these scammers use it, so perhaps you might want to look into the service of these two companies to stop such scammers from being visable.

I disagree that it makes Sam look arrogant or foolish, in fact it, to me it makes him look as if he is someone who is constantly thinking about things and as I have indicated before was spot on in the usage as it communicated to me the idea he was trying to get across.

Yes, it is very distracting! It stopped me to think about police for a moment, as I had said. Perhaps that was the purpose.

Reasons not to use 'dis-ease'

It's not clever.
It's old and has been used by a lot of ignorant people and as a marketing term by scam artists.
It makes you look either foolish or arrogant depending on perspective.
It's distracting.

No offense meant, just my 2c.
