Thanks to WKBK’s newsman Brad Ryder who filed this report on yesterday’s public smoke-out:

Will the crowd grow for today’s event? Time will tell.

I have to admit, I’m extremely and pleasantly surprised by the Keene Police’s sensible response to this peaceful event. If they could do the same thing (i.e. “nothing”) consistently for every victimless, consensual action where people and property aren’t damaged, they might have a shot at becoming the first “Peace Officers” of the modern age.
Before this, I wouldn’t have thought that a possibility. It remains to be seen if they can stay strong on just this one issue in the face of a growing number of busybodies and bureaucrats that will nag them to commit violence on peaceful demonstrators.

Wow, I did not think it was possible for cops in Keene to allow peaceful people to touch marijuana after their violent actions against Andrew Carroll.
Maybe the police have decided that using violence against peaceful people is wrong, time will tell.

Classic revenue agent (aka Law Enforcement Officer) response “I don’t get to make the decisions”
