420 Participant gets hit by a car

During one of the many 420 events held in Keene Central Square this week, a skateboarder was the victim of a hit and run. Although the driver was aware she had hit the young man, she drove off without checking to see if her victim was ok. Keene Police, who were present to observe the peaceful demonstrators rejecting their authority, witnessed the accident from a sidewalk less than 10 feet away. Instead of offering assistance to the victim, or stopping the driver from fleeing the scene, they decided to waste more of the young man’s time and harass him for getting in the way of traffic.

*Note: I am unaware of the validity of the statement that the car had run a red light. I did see the accident, and the skateboarder was crossing the street in a less than safe manner; however, I don’t believe the police did the correct thing in reaction to this accident.

I’m surprised there isn’t much noise about this particular incident. It’s really the best evidence I can imagine to demonstrate that the protesters are right. Cops let someone get away with a violent crime, harass the victim, then go back to standing around, pissing away tax revenue. All in a day’s for America’s Finest.

Go bust some real bad guys and leave us the hell alone.

Freakin’ idiot! There aren’t enough “real bad guys”, let alone enough *REAL* police work for even 1/2 of the 45 or so cops Jumanjiville/Keene has…Tonight, (Monday 09/28) it took at least 5 cops/cruisers to get one, *ONE* guy to go see the nice DR.’S at CMC/DHK…sheee-it!…*I* coulda’ got him to go all by myself!…To be fair, the cops were actually quite decent. But still, I do feel sorry for them. They are so, SO *SO* poorly trained, and even more poorly supervised. After all, it took at least 5 cops/cruisers to get one, *ONE* guy to go…Guess who the lead cop was? *LISA* Ramey! That b**ch makes all the guys look sick!///Today, at 420fest, I also witnessed a truck rear-end a car. The car just kept going…so fuckin’ what?…in 100 years, how important will *any* of this be…The KPD has a well-deserved poor reputation. The ilks of Art Walker/City Council assholes like Fred Parsells(Ian Bernard’s handler…), and Mitch Greenwald, make Jumanjiville/Keene the socialist/fascist/statist cesspool that it is…

I rode a skateboard back in the 80′s when they were illegal- saw a cop run down a friend of mine to keep us safe from skateboarding or harming others with these skateboards.
Things are different now….

The cops were just pissed off at a bunch of dopers calling ‘em out on tv and radio, filming them, saying dumb things to them, etc. All in all things seem mellow- many other places the cops would beat you people up.

I was at a grateful dead concert when a chopper started tossing tear gas out of it right before the cops started beating everyone up with sticks and horses.

Free Keene is a silly site, Meg is hot- the other bloggers are lame.
