The information I wrote about Eli and the footage from Sam’s camera is completely factual.

The incident recently with Mr. Hoffman was witnessed by only one non-state employee, Auburn. If the court officers or police would have allowed her to hold a camera in the back room we would have evidence to look at and make a better decision. As it is I personally heard the sounds of physical violence and Auburn’s screams of alarm.

I realize that you know Eli and have a certain experience with him but I do believe that he has at least a slight animus towards ‘freestaters’ most especially after his recent testimony for Sam’s trial and the other related trials.

His testimony clearly indicates that he has adopted group think in regards to liberty activists and that he lumps them into one entity to be dealt with as a whole. Condemned as one, crucified as one. This is not right.

I would like to believe that he is a good person but I have seen nothing that would convince me of that. That being said, I will give him the chance to turn around his image and prove that he is better than I think.

It is a highly charged and emotional issue and it is extremely important not to deviate from facts or specualte motive, intent as well as actual events.

Kurt is a friend of mine, and so is Eli. Eli is not the man you are painting him to be. I sat in the courtroom with Kurt in Nashua on Thursday. Yesterday I spent time I didn’t have meeting with Eli and discussing events, his personal motives and explanation of the system he is working with. There is a way to bring peaceful resolve and mutual respect and after a time, take this and other issues back down to the human level of people meeting and discussing.

Some of what my fellow Libertarians are doing I am very proud of and agree wholeheartedly. Some of what happens actually hurts the movement, stops positive momentum, and causes the movement to lose legitimacy.

Words are very important. Perspective, intent and agenda can make or break momentum.

I will probably be seeing Kurt this week, perhaps even today. I’ll convey his friends’ concern for him and personal words of encouragement.

And please… no name-calling. What is it with junior high level responses? It isn’t helpful or appropriate. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”… The essence of what true libertarians believe.

We need all need to treat other people better.

They can change the charges from class A to B at the drop of a hat. They have done so several times to keep people from getting in front of a jury.

Great system they’ve come up with. They really seem to follow their own rules don’t they?

They really seem concerned about following them too because the penalties they give themselves when they break their own rules are so, well, nonexistent.

Politics must be the answer?

May this type of action take off across the country, the politicians aren’t listening to the people so we have absolutely no choice.

My charges weren’t “dropped following a trial”. The ruling was “not guilty”.
