I tried writing my reactions to the call by the former cop but its just all over the place that I couldn’t satisfactorily put it into words. Suffice it to say that his advocation to use violent force on Ian to stop him from “mocking The Law” just goes to show how sick these people are in the head.

All the rhetoric I ever hear from these people boils down to something like this:

“Well, these people are breaking The Law! The Law!!! They’re childish and just want attention! OUR legislators were elected by US to write down the rules of society on sheets of paper because the country would be in chaos if they didn’t! How would we know not to rape and pillage (let alone jaywalk) if not for The Law! If you want to change The Law, you’ve got to beg the legislators and work within the system (by creating a powerful, well-financed lobby to bribe them with campaign contributions) and maybe, if you’re lucky, something will actually change someday and you’ll still be alive to benefit from it. You can’t just… not OBEY! It’s THE LAW!!! [insert aneurysm here]“.

These statist idolaters and cram their stupid laws up their butts, afaic. If ain’t murder, assault, trespass, fraud, theft, rape, slavery, kidnapping or vandalism, and there’s no victim, it isn’t a real crime.

For a more principled take on what constitutes a crime (or rather what doesn’t), check out Lysander Spooner’s Vices Are Not Crimes.
