I used to subscribe to the Ridley Report. But he kicked me off his subscriber list because he doesn’t believe in freedom of expression. Apparently, Dave was upset by some of his interpretations of things he thought I had written.

So, I don’t watch Dave’s videos. And he doesn’t get any barbecued pig.

On further reflection, it is also clear that Ridley doesn’t believe in a right to self defense, nor in either defensive or retaliatory force.

I believe “When any group undertakes to say ‘This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to say,’ the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free….You can’t conquer a free man; the most you can hope to do is kill him.” With a hat tip to Robert A. Heinlein, from his novella “If this goes on…”.

It’s too bad Ridley cannot tolerate a bit of dissent.
