You’re right Ted. The fellows from FTL tend to be anti-vac and let some mis-info creep in once in a while, other than Toby who seems to know his stuff pretty well.

I think Sam may have been referring to a Canadian study that said that getting vaccinated against H1N1 increased your chances of getting seasonl flu (or vice versa), but it was one study, one study is not conclusive.

It is not true that getting vaccinated for one disease reduces resistance to another. The more things your immune system knows how to defeat, the better.

Ian your call was great. When you left and the host said something like “but I just worry all teachers will get paid minimum wage in this system he’d advocating” or something I actually laughed out loud. You’d made this long impassioned logical, ethical speech with references to the free market and how it does things better etc. And the moment you’re gone she’s INSTANTLY back to spouting completely inane nonsense that nobody with a basic understanding of economics would say.

I admire you for continuing to phone in and try to reason with these people, but I bet this Cynthia never changes her beliefs ever.

There is value to the calls though because other listeners may be intrigued and change their beliefs or look further into freekeene.
