Talkback: Liberty Activists Call in 2010-07-24
Liberty-minded people called “Talkback” on WKBK last week to discuss open container, school outreach, a movement without leaders, working in the system, Keene Nightcap, and complaints to the police. A local statist calls Talkback and suggests forming an opposition group. Cynthia and Dale are hilariously clueless about their own ordinances during Sam’s call. Enjoy!
Please join us for our weekly chat and calling sessions on Saturday mornings from 9a-12p. If you’re in the Keene area you can tune in to WKBK 1290 AM or 104.1 FM. The Talkback discussion thread is here on the Free Keene Forum.

For the record: there is NO state law about open containers NOT being in vehicles.
It is amazing that they don’t know their own law.
Cynthia: “I call them idiots.”
Cynthia, that is not very nice. I don’t think you’re an idiot. I’d appreciate it if you would not call my friends (people who are not hurting ANYONE) idiots.
Wow. The hosts were pretty out of line here. Apologies for assault because they agree with the politics of the violent party? Yikes!
“And the less that is talked about, the better we will be.”
The words of a true control freak.
Cynthia and company are (once again) sounding uninformed and unimaginative.
errr misinformed
I like that lady who called in to proclaim her “love” for the government, police, and city council. She loves them… A reasonable person might recognize police and politicians as a necessary evil, but she loves ‘em. I can’t understand that mindset.
Also, do police have a “right” to stand in the park? That’s not my understanding of rights. Government officials don’t have rights, at least when it comes to the stuff they’re doing to everybody else. Another time Cynthia said that she didn’t know if the government had a “right” to repeal some tax you were objecting to. In other words, they would need a “right” NOT to tax, to not tax. Amazing cluelessness about what government is. These people are just confused about government and society, I think.
Oh yeah, and she and her friends are gonna work out the issues with the criminal, self-dealing, obscene school spending, so you don’t need to worry about it, Sam.
I must say there was much more hostility in the voices of the hosts in comparison to the other shows I have heard. Ian you had done a great job pointing out the voilence against peaceful activities. The hosts always focus on the “what ifs” of other violent or actual crimes not related to the victimless crimes in question. Keep pushing that distinction as its very important.
The hosts do really sound like idiots is this one. Isn’t Cynthia on the city council or something? She knows less about the laws that apply in Keene than Sam and Ian, I’m SHOCKED (ok I’m really not, but you get the point).
I liked when Cynthia is talking to Sam about when he was assaulted at the middle school. It really showed her for the thug she is.
+1 to Sam and Ian. Keep up the good work with the call in. Listening to the clips you post of talkback give me vicarious pleasure.
I think cynthiageorgina IS an idiot. Wait until NHDES(NOTE: that’s “dept. of environmental services”, NOT “dept. of employment security”…) hears about the acre or 2 of filled wetlands w/out a permit for same, going on out behind her shopping plaza…UM, right there where “TENT CITY” was…(and still IS, except THIS SUMMER, slantinel won’t DARE run a story on those drunken woodsrats…
