Detroit TSA Security Theater

On a recent layover in Detroit, I was filming roaming squads of TSA agents searching passengers at the gates. I didn’t feel like answering their questions, and their response was, well, see for youself . . .

In part 1 I interact with Janetta a TSA “Behavior Detection Officer”

The City of Keene’s Hall of Shame

Filed under: Uncategorized — SamIam at 12:41 pm on Monday, December 14, 2009

The Homeless – They’re easy to marginalize and blame for their situation. With the economy in a tailspin, the dollar facing hyperinflation, the FDIC billions in the hole, a commercial real estate bubble ready to pop, lending restrictions tightening, Obama spending money like the Weimar Republic, and over 2,000 banks expected to fail next year, unfortunately many more may end up joining them.

It is said the compassion of a society can be measured in the way the poorest and most misfortunate are treated. So after regulating, licensing, and taxing this community out of prosperity, now this unfortunate element of society; this unintended consequence; stands as a black mark the city’s bureaucrats are working to erase. Take an honest look at how government helps the poor who don’t go along with the welfare program:

The Heartless NH Justice System, and the Bureaucrats Who Run it

Filed under: Hypocrisy, Jailed Activist, Obscured Truth Network, Personal Freedom — SamIam at 5:33 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2009

While in the Cheshire County Jail, I requested to use the law library on a few occasions to defend myself. The requests were generally approved after anywhere from 3-8 days later after several follow-up requests, and in one case, a petition signed by 20 other prisoners.

Unfortunately the law library at the jail is severely deficient. The New Hampshire RSA set, updated last in ‘94, has volumes missing. They have the RSA’s on one computer, which was down for weeks, but that doesn’t include much useful case law.

The Federal code volumes are from the 50’s and have more volumes missing than on the shelves. The NH court rules haven’t been updated since 1979, and that’s important because they have added hoops to jump through to call witnesses in your own defense, which are not even in the 1979 rules. The Keene city ordinances are nowhere in sight,  and several activists continue to be charged with them.

While in the Jail Richard Van Wickler said it’s not his responsibility, and that I should call the Public Defenders office because they maintain the law library, and they have assured him that it’s up to date.

Today I called and spoke with Jan who has managed the Public Defenders office for over 20 years.

Guess what, they have never been responsible for the law library at the jail. (Read on …)

Candle Light Vigil Brings Peace Message Home

After Keene, NH activist Kurt Hoffman was arrested, handcuffed, and taken into a back room, he was seriously hurt, and carried out on a stretcher.

Police say Hoffman, after being handcuffed and laying on the ground completely passive before being taken into a back room, suddenly decided to jump up, run for the door where he fell, on his head. His wife says Rivera tackled him and caused him to land on his head.

Two weeks later, Hoffman is still in a wheelchair with a disfigured face from apparent neurological damage. To protect and serve. . .

Filed under: Copwatch, Corruption, Outreach — SamIam at 5:21 am on Saturday, October 3, 2009

I sent the following letter to CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) which recently had an auditor out certifying KPD.

Hello CALEA Staff,

I’m writing to inform you of another incident with the Keene PD, which recently went though the certification process. I spoke with Barbara during the feedback session, but don’t have any further contact information, as your organization doesn’t seem interested in hearing from the public. (Read on …)
