The award will be given to the winning candidate present at the 2012 Porcupine Freedom Festival. So nominees ought to be individuals that are certain to be there. Here is the text from the official Award page:

Send in your nominations for a female liberty activist who deserves the Zoe Taylor Award for exceptional courage, principle and virtue. Nominees must be planning to attend PorcFest in June. Registration is now open. To nominate a female activist please include her name, city, and around 300 words why she deserves the award in an email to award@Silvercirclemovie.com. But time is short, so don’t delay.

The Zoe Award will be presented before the screening of Silver Circle on Thursday, June 21st at 8pm in the Theater (the old Bingo Hall). We’ll be recognizing all the nominees before the award is presented. We are thrilled to congratulate all of the talented and passionate women in the movement. This is a great time to do so, and we hope you all get your nominations in ASAP so we have plenty of time to choose our activist wisely.

After serving a 75-105 day sentence in jail for his victimless crime spree, DerrickJ will be in self-imposed exile from the Shire and touring the continent in search of exciting activism.

A bit of background about MARV:

Shortly after Jason Talley and I split the cost of the 30′ Four Winds Hurricane in early 2009 we escaped from DC and made Keene MARV’s homebase due both to the “live and let live” attitude prevalent in the ‘shire and the growing freedom-oriented community here in Keene.

After spending some time in town ironing-out our plans, we hit the road in what became a seven-month, 41-state tour known as the Motorhome Diaries, which documented individuals advancing the broad freedom movement. Along the way we picked up Ademo Freeman.

The following year, after buying-out Jason of his half of MARV, Ademo and I sought to advance the voluntary society under the Liberty On Tour banner, which took us to 13 cities in 13 weeks. Taking lessons learned from MHD, we first spent a few months in town front-loading as much work as we could – figuring-out logistics, coordinating with point-people in each city, cultivating media contacts, etc.

Last year, joined by Beau Davis, we again hit the road under LOT’s Free State Friendship Tour and since then, have used MARV for Cop Block activities.

More than just a vehicle, MARV has been an integral crew member in those projects – a “rolling billboard for liberty” that is definitely one-of-a-kind. Admittedly, it was a tough decision to part ways with MARV, but with where I’m at now it makes sense.

MARV Raffle Ticket Holders

For transparency this spreadsheet is both public & updated frequently.

The “Raffle Tickets Sold” is the total amount of raffle tickets sold thus far. The “Raffle Ticket #” number is the physical raffle ticket (from a roll of raffle tickets) that will be entered into the drawing. The “Confirmation #” is the associated confirmation number(s) from individual purchases via Bitcoin, Dwolla, SquareUp or PayPal. Raffle tickets bought with cash or silver are manually assigned numbers, which too are added to this column.

Raffle Details

• there is no maximum number of raffle tickets that an individual can obtain
• online donations for raffle tickets (Bitcoin, Dwolla & PayPal) will cease at 11:59pm EST on June 15th (to ensure all transactions go through prior to the drawing)
• in-person donations for raffle tickets will cease at 11:59pm EST on June 23rd
• a random raffle ticket will be selected at 12:00am EST on June 24th (the last night of PorcFest in Lancaster, NH)
• the holder of the winning raffle ticket (MARV’s new owner) need not be present to win
• MARV’s new owner – if not present at PorcFest – will be notified via email the evening of June 24th
• MARV’s new owner can take possession of MARV at noon on June 25th in Keene, NH. Alternatively, if MARV’s new owner is not in the region delivery options can be agreed-upon (who is responsible to cover costs)
• if under 500 tickets are sold* the raffle will be called off and 100% of donations will be returned (*this number will never be raised, but may, at the discretion of Pete Eyre, be lowered)
• if over 850 tickets are claimed MARV’s new owner will be given $1,000 (to use for gas or anything else)
