Have you ever seen a person run over by a tank? If you are old enough you would have seen this happen in Tiananmen Square in China 23 years ago. I was just a young girl when I sat horrified watching this unfold on the tv screen. I had never seen anything like it. I never imagined that a government could do such a thing. This incident was televised all over the world and painted the Chinese government for the thugs and murderers they were and still are. Fast forward 23 years and governments haven’t gotten any better, only worse. Now people have to worry about unmanned drones flying over their houses and killing them all. Boeing is developing the next generation of drones: Vulture solar drone that stays in air for 5 years. Police brutality is on the rise everywhere. The u.s. congress and the president have enacted more draconian laws such as NDAA. The u.s. is currently still engaged in two failed wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. There is fear mongering and war rhetoric in reference to Iran and now Syria. I thought the Tianenman Square incident was the worst it could get. Goodness me, how was I so wrong?
On a happier note, today marks the 13th birthday of my wonderful nephew Llandry! Happy Birthday! Aunt Ellie loves you!

Opinion tonight includes Free Keene TV’s Jason Repsher and special guest Independent Journalist Ademo Freeman.
Over the past several weeks I have been working to create a local TV news show on Cheshire TV, the Keene based cable-access station. Several activists and myself have been working to learn all the roles and responsibilities required to put on a quality programing. Many of the key roles are filled though I am open to more people coming on board as well as finding alternates so the principles can have a week off at times.
The vision I have for Free Keene TV is one of a polished and professional news broadcast. The show ought to be flexible and capable of being altered to spend more time on important topics with news being the priority. The show ought to also offer a variety of topics and cover a wide swath of community concerns.
Currently, I am working on creating polished graphics and audio components to increase the production quality. We have spent considerable time working on getting the lighting to meet a certain standard as well. The show is scripted entirely including the anchor reading from a teleprompter, the only exception being interviews and freestyle punditry.
I have more openings for all types of roles and if you are interesting in helping either in front of or behind the camera, send me a message through the forum, facebook or shoot me an email at jjschless @ yahoo.com.

I have recently deleted several posts for name-stealing and spam, I will continue to do this so long as I have the capability to moderate the comments. It was amusing how quickly individuals sought to blame and condemn Ian Freeman for the moderation. As if he is the great boogieman of our time. This has become typical with recent events, most notably the drinking game, and how people are so quick to generalize.
Sure Ian, Sam, Heika and a few others caused a stir, made some news and quickly became the appointed figureheads of the Free State Project in the eyes of so many. Indeed, branded the leaders! How laughable.
Condemning all as you would condemn one, casting all the individuals with all their diversity into one lot and then crucifying the whole. This is ignorant and foolish. It is this type of thinking that has helped justify segregation, slavery and genocide. Are you no better than those of the 19th century?
