Day 21

Subject: Dancing in My Cell

Attitude is EVERYTHING. Pick up a good one! It’s 1am. For the last two hours, I’ve been dancing around my cell, listening to the radio. For the third night in a row.

For those of you who pity my situation, STOP! And start getting half as excited as I am. There is so much for which to be thankful. For example, all of the activism that is happening in Keene! When I was “delivering carts” with Beau earlier, I shared with him how I was realizing how much a positive attitude can make a difference. Sure, I’m in jail, and for a person who values autonomy, that sucks. What sucks even more is dwelling on it. No need!

I’ve got so much going for me, I am beaming, smiling from ear to ear, and can’t stop my feet from moving. If you’re not smiling today, start counting your blessings, turn on your favorite music, and get up and dance like no one’s watching (they’re probably not!) Get up and move! 😛

For those of you who feel inspired to support the past activism that brought me to jail or the exciting upcoming activism across the continent tour, please make your way over to LiveFreeOrDance.com/sponsor and make a donation today!

And if you’ve got exciting new projects to declare independence e-mail or Facebook message me and let me know about it! derrickjfreeman@gmail.com I’ll shimmy on over to your town with my video camera and we’ll tell the world how they can do it too! I can’t wait to meet you!
