Thanks to Mother Jones magazine’s Tim Murphy for this excellent coverage of Keene liberty activism and the Free State Project. Though, the headline “GOP Heads to Porcupine Country” is quite inaccurate. Most people I know don’t give a whit about the GOP. Also, the poll statistics they present in the sidebar doesn’t describe the “libertarians” I know. Aside from those minor critiques, the article itself is very good.

Free Concord’s Garret Ean provides another detailed update on the Manchester mass chalking arrests from this summer. In it, Manchester bureaucrats claim that the video footage from multiple security cameras at MPD doesn’t exist – how convenient!

Yesterday, Kate Ager received via USPS mail the verdict from judge William Lyons regarding her trial at Manchester district court on September 12. Of the three remaining charges (the state was pursuing four at trial, one was dropped prior to the delayed verdict) Kate was found not guilty of false report, guilty of resisting, and guilty of violation-level disorderly conduct. The state was pursuing misdemeanor level convictions for all of the charges, so it appears Mr. Lyons himself determined that Kate was not guilty of the ‘disorderly’ misdemeanor charge, but found her actions to qualify at the violation level.
