It's just days before the real-life premiere and "Derrick J's Victimless Crime Spree" has exceeded 20,000 views on YouTube in just over a month since its release. The feature-length documentary was shot primarily in Keene, NH and chronicles the first year of Derrick J's activism here. The film is packed with exciting footage and insightful commentary. The YouTube statistics are a testament to the movie's popularity with viewers as it currently has 589 likes and only 31 dislikes!
The real-life premiere is happening this Saturday, 9/15 at 9:45am at Keene Cinemas. Admission is free and will be first-come-first-serve. After the movie there will be a Q&A with Derrick J, executive producer Ian Freeman and editor Beau Davis. We'll be giving away an exclusive, autographed movie poster to a lucky winner and following that, there will be a bring-your-own lunch at Ashuelot Park. Details on this Facebook event.

There is a brand new political party that has been formed for the purpose of promoting NH’s secession from the feds and personal liberty – the New Hampshire Liberty Party! Please check out the party platform and sign up as a member online! You can also like the public facebook page at NH Liberty Party.
Membership is free and the party does not accept contributions.
Here’s the press release announcing the party from co-chair Darryl Perry:
Keene, NH – On September 1, 2012 the NH Liberty Party held an organizational meeting. During this meeting the bylaws of the party were adopted. Included in the adopted bylaws is a five plank platform that can never be modified.
The NH Liberty Party supports secession for New Hampshire and believe individuals have the same right to declare themselves independent from any government. (more…)

Last September, Derrick J Freeman held a dance party in Central Square. As many of you know, the party was quickly shut-down with the arrival of Keene PD. This year to commemorate the infamous “Live Free or Dance” Party, I will be hosting “Live Free or Dance II” at Ashuelot Park on Sunday September 9 at 10pm.
I ask that anyone planning to attend remain peaceful and respectful of the rights of others.
Using a portable battery-powered radio (and battery-powered party lights) – we shall have a dance party this year, hopefully without any arrests!
If the KPD shows up, I will take full responsibility and if arrested for any (bogus) reason, I ask that bail NOT be paid.
With that said: LET’S DANCE!

Meet Derrick J at the real-life, big screen premiere of “Derrick J’s Victimless Crime Spree“! See it exclusively in Keene at Keene Cinemas, 9:45am on Saturday, September 15th (Facebook event here.). After the film will be a question-and-answer session with Derrick J and the production team.
Admission is free, though donations will be accepted to cover the reasonable cost of renting the theater. In fact, if you can’t make it in person you can sponsor a seat via the chipin below (also installed on the righthand column of this site).
Following the premiere, you’re invited to the “Bring your Own” Lunch @ 12:15pm in the beautiful Ashuelot Park. (Here are directions from the Keene Cinemas to Ashuelot Park)
By the way, we’re working on a cool contest that should involve everyone who donates to the chipin and in real life at the theater. Stay tuned here and to the facebook page or email list for updates.

8 people, 8,000 miles across the US in a veggie-powered school bus, 40 days & 40 nights – it’s The New World Manifesto! Some of TNWM are from as far away as Poland, and others as close as Burlington, VT. They have just recently kicked off their tour and one of the first stops was Ademo’s “wiretapping” trial on Monday. I’ll post their video(s) when they are available, but for now here are some of the photos they took and their first blog from NH (they came to Keene to see our community after the trial was over).
