On yesterday morning’s “Talkback” on WKBK, Free Minds Media’s Toby and Nick, Free Talk Live’s Ian and Mark, and The Obscured Truth Network’s Sam called the show and discussed freedom of the press in the city building, enforcing the law on bureaucrats, and tax rates. Then statist city councilor Chuck Redfern calls and accuses liberty activists of making “trivial” points and and “taking city resources”. The smarmy Dartmouth guy also calls to make his usual ad hominems that liberty activists are childish attention seekers and are “compromised psychologically and mentally”. A few friendly voices from the local area also called to support liberty activists.

On this morning’s “Talkback” on WKBK, Free State Project President Varrin Swearingen appeared as a guest for an hour. He discussed the Free State Project, Keene activism, secession, voluntaryism, bad neighbors, dishonesty, paying for services, education, regulations, and politician ratings. Also included in this archive are liberty activists calling later in the show and discussing the protectionist government system, confronting the system, and neighborly relations.

Very little information is known to anyone but the police so far, but a friend named Andrew was arrested this morning – probably a little before 8:40a – and is still being held at the police department. Fellow friends and liberty activists are at the police station trying to find out why their friend is being held captive. The only information the police are giving is that Andrew was arrested for not answering questions that police were asking. It is also known that Andrew said things like, “Stop arresting me, assholes,” but it in unclear whether the law enforcement officers were overreacting to “harsh” language or whether that language was itself a reaction to the police’s actions.

Liberty activists called WKBK’s “Talkback” this morning and discussed downtown skateboarders, the minimum age to work, NH independence, imprisoning peaceful people, and city camera bans. Also the smarmy Dartmouth statist calls and suggests I’m stupid, puts words in my mouth, then proceeds to appeal to tradition. I then call back to rebut and he calls again to lie to cover his tracks…busted, dude!

Liberty activists called WKBK’s “Talkback” on Saturday morning and discussed the gun in the room and the police (prompted by some good questions from the condescending Dartmouth guy). You’ll also hear me appear for about a half an hour as a guest. I discussed the Free State Project, liberty activism, theft, the hitpieces by Pam Martens, why New Hampshire was chosen, why I chose Keene, fighting, following rules, and market justice. Thanks to Cynthia for having me in again – it’s always fun. Interestingly this time, none of the callers during my segment were vitriolic towards me or other liberty activists. An indicator perhaps of shifting attitudes from Keeniacs?
