A few days ago, some friends and I were clearing brush on my property in Grafton, preparing to building a house, and we were burning some small stuff to make a fire to cook hot dogs on. Suddenly, thugs appeared and threatened us with violence if we didn’t put our fire out. We politely refused to comply with their threats, and more thugs came, and eventually the fire chief of Grafton, John Babiarz, who is a self-proclaimed libertarian (he’s apparently the libertarian party’s current gubernatorial candidate for NH), brought a fire truck and put out my camp fire. This may sound ridiculous, but it looks even more ridiculous. Check out the video.
Keene’s Central Square was empty yesterday as the daily 420 celebrations have been moved to the beautiful Ashuelot park at West and Island St!
Celebration spokesman Rich Paul wouldn’t cite reasons for the venue change and encouraged readers to decide for themselves. Celebrants cleaning up some garbage in the park noticed the city’s cans were nearly overflowing! This has been a problem at other city parks in the past and is more proof that the violent monopoly can’t even handle the garbage. It would seem likely that the city’s janitors don’t work weekends and holidays, which are the times they are needed most!
A second census “enumerator” came to my house on Monday and I of course recorded the encounter. I only wish all government bureaucrats were as nice as Kathleen when you tell them you don’t consent. She was really outstanding and courteous. If you missed my first encounter with a census “enumerator”, you can see it here. Here’s what happened this week:
“A volunteer Census worker who made his rounds earlier this week is now accused of returning to a physically handicapped woman’s home this weekend and beating her and raping her.“
While perusing the news this morning about our beautiful Granite State I found an article about the community of Milford. For the second time in history Milford is having a “beer tasting” at an annual Pumpkin Festivle.
Beer drinking, by adults, in public.
As usual, and as can be expected on a routine basis around here, the local police chief is stomping his feet in a fit as the mere thought of allowing individuals some limited freedom.
