Dave Ridley reports on strange goings-on in Keene’s district court:
Dave Ridley reports from a city committee meeting where he again encounters Keene “mayor” Dale Pregent and is AGAIN completely ignored. This is amazing behaviour from a politician whom one would normally expect to pander to the press. I bet if it were WMUR asking him for an interview, he’d hop right to it. Many other Keene bureaucrats are very friendly. This guy, especially as an elected position, is unbelievable:
After the recent arrest and caging of 2 peaceful activists, Pete Eyre & Adam Mueller (Ademo), I wrote letters about the incident to every member of the Keene city council. Here is the first (and possibly only) response to those letters, from Cynthia Georgina.
Dear Meg,
Thank you for your recent letter regarding the courtroom experiences of Pete Eyre and Adam Mueller. I have read about the incidents in the Keene Sentinel and someone sent me on-line videos of them. From what I saw both Pete and Adam were being rude and disrespectful, and they were achieving the goals they were aiming for.
Following up on the last post, http://freekeene.com/2011/01/25/video-ademo-arrested-for-contempt-at-petes-arraignment/
In the second video from this morning, Ademo speaks to “the court” during a “right of alocution” and is taken away to a cage for 60 days. Following that, local videographer and FK blogger Meg demands the police and bailiffs keep the peace and release the kidnapped Ademo:
The cases for both Pete and Adam’s from Liberty on Tour are continued as the state is attempting to join the trials. (More about the Greenfield situation here.) Watch as Pete stands his ground and speaks the truth when they want him to leave, but for some reason are in no way in a hurry to remove him. Very strange:
Vids from earlier: (more…)
Watch and be amused by the antics of these federal cops and security guard. As usual, they attempt to intimidate and give orders, but for the most part, photographer Carlos Miller was not having it and does not obey. They end up all backing down. It helps, as evidenced, to have more than one cameraman on hand if you are going to attempt recording around the police:
