NH Attorney General Gets Involved In State v. Jason Talley

The New Hampshire Attorney General has filed an appearance and motion on behalf of Circuit Court Administrative Judge Edwin Kelley and Superior Court Chief Judge Tina Nadeau. The motion is to “quash” the subpoenas that they have been served with by the Merrimack County Sheriffs Department which require them to appear as witnesses in State v. Jason Talley.

From the motion:

6. The Defendant has copies of the three orders at issue. If the trial court deems the orders themselves relevant and admissible evidence, they can be admitted as trial exhibits by the proferring party. Testimony from judges regarding their mental process leading up to the issuance of their orders, however, is prohibited and properly excluded.

Obama Pressures Yemen to Keep Journalist in Prison

From freeconcord.org:

Abdulelah Haider Shaye

Abdulelah Haider Shaye is a name most in the western world aren’t familiar with, and Barack Obama would like to keep it that way. Shaye is a Yemeni independent journalist who was covering the impact of military activities in Yemen. He was daring enough to interview some of the most wanted men in the world. Anwar Al-Awlaki met for an interview with Shaye which later broadcast on Al-Jazeera, prior to it becoming known that Awlaki was the first US citizen added to a CIA kill list. In the same month that the interview was aired, Shaye took the initiative to investigate a missile attack claimed by the Yemeni government to have been orchestrated by their military. It was December of 2009 when the village of Majala was targeted as the alleged site of an Al-Qaeda training camp. After the bombing, Shaye traveled to the area and took the pictures which were broadcast by news media around the globe. His report revealed remnants of tomahawk cruise missiles and cluster bombs. Neither of these weapons being in the Yemeni national arsenal, the Made in the USA stamp emblazoned on the debris revealed the true source of the attack. The pentagon refused to comment on the photos and Yemeni officials denied all involvement by the US government. Wikileaks later published a US diplomatic cable which documented Yemeni officials admitting to lying to their parliament about US military coordination. Fourteen women and twenty-one children were killed in the strike (the number of males killed is not known, and assuredly all are automatically assumed to be Al-Qaeda terrorists). The Majala bombing was the first of what would be an ongoing deadly string of aerial assaults by the US military in association with Yemeni state militants. (more…)

MSNBC Reports on Keene’s BEARCAT Controversy

BEARCATMSNBC covers the Keene BEARCAT story:

By Kari Huus, msnbc.com

The city of Keene, N.H., population 23,000, nestled in a valley in the state’s southwest corner, may not be the first place that comes to mind as a terrorism target, but this summer it will take delivery on a $286,000 armored vehicle, compliments of the Department of Homeland Security.

The Lenco “BearCat,” fitted with thermal imaging, radiation and explosive gas detection systems, gun mounts and rotating hatch is but one example of the kind of quasi-military equipment that has been acquired by local and state law enforcement agencies through billions of dollars worth of federal grant money in the last decade. “Constitutional Carry” For All New Hampshire Residents Into Massachusetts

Hopefully soon due to a change in both federal and state law, being a resident of New Hampshire alone will make you impervious to the Massachusetts oppressive police-state gun control laws. I think everyone knows the 2nd Amendment doesn’t mean much down there… and most people I know would like to be able to defend themselves against attack without being thrown in prison for a mandatory year.

Gun Owners of America is requesting that everyone contact New Hampshire US Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Kelly Ayotte to support this.

You can do so easily here.

Help Protect Patient Access to Medical Marijuana in New Hampshire!

If you live in New Hampshire, Senate Bill 409 will be voted on soon.

If you want to see people who use cannabis for medical reasons go to jail, do nothing.

If you want to extend compassion and legal protection to them, call your State Senator. If you live in a yellow district, urge them to pass.  If you live in a green or blue district, thank them for their support. If you live in a red district, let them know why they’re getting voted out next time.

If you are a Keene resident please contact Senator Molly Kelly and thank her for supporting safe access to medical marijuana by people who suffer from horrible illnesses.
