Successful Outreach Event Generates Sentinel Hit Piece

The Keene Sentinel was out today covering the Keene Middle School outreach event. I sat and spoke with Josh, a new reporter at the Keene Sentinel for about 20 minutes, and I did my best to explain the reason for reaching out to the middle school kids. There seem to be a few discrepancies in his story vs our discussion, so I’ve marked a few very minor corrections in red:

Police were on hand called by school officials, Friday as about a dozen six members participants of the Free State Project stood outside Keene Middle School at school’s end, holding banners and signs that read “FreeKeene.com”  and “School sucks project.”

It was the second time this week the protesters had shown up as students were leaving school.

On Tuesday, Free Keene member blogger Sam E. Miller Dodson stood outside the school on Washington Street by himself, holding a similar sign. He dropped the sign after was attacked when a parent, unable to control his anger, hit his hand holding the sign, Miller Dodson said, and a student ran off with it encouraged by the juvenile behavior of the parent, ran up – snatched the sign from his hand and ran away to rip it in half. Miller Dodson said he needed reinforcements. called for nearby police (more…)

Tom the Census Guy

Tom the census guy dropped by for a friendly visit this weekend. I don’t receive US mail at the house so when Tom showed up it was my first contact with them.

We covered a number of different points including the census’s use to round up Japanese Americans into concentration camps during world war II, corruption, and government legitimacy.

Federal FIJA Outreach with Julian Heicklen in Concord! June 23rd, 11:45am

FIJAJulian Heicklen is touring the country visiting different federal courthouses and handing out FIJA info. The fed agents are usually more dangerous and uppity than the state bureaucrats. Just last week a liberty activist, George Donnelly, (who is NH-bound) was kidnapped at Julian’s event. Julian has been kidnapped multiple times. That’s why we need an EXTRA awesome turnout for when he visits Concord on June 23, 2010, from 11:45 am until 1:15 pm, U. S. District Courthouse, Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse, 55 Pleasant Street, Concord, 03301.

This is conveniently scheduled the Wed of Porcfest week so PLENTY of activists should be available. See you there! Here’s the Free Keene Forum discussion.

Opening Doors for People is Considered “Impeding”?

This morning, activists gathered for a grand jury outreach event at the Cheshire superior court. The last time we had a confrontation by the armed men was the very first week almost two years ago where they merely asked what we were there doing. Now, all of a sudden, they have decided to threaten us over, of all things, opening the door for the people entering the building! First a grumpy white-haired female bailiff came out and demanded we stop opening the door for people. When we indicated we had no intention of stopping, she said she’d get the sheriffs. I didn’t have enough time to get my QIK.com broadcasting for this encounter, but I certainly had it ready for when four uniformed armed men came out and did their best to try to intimidate us. More video from another angle to come, but for now, here’s the raw video as originally broadcast at QIK.com. According to the costumed men, it is apparently disorderly conduct and impeding traffic when we hold open the door. Clearly we should have known we were in the people’s way when they smile at us and thank us for getting the door for them! Needless to say, we continued to open the door for folks, despite the threats. Visit the Free Keene Forum for more info on regular jury outreach and grand jury outreach.

Understanding Freedom

Jason Osborne of Sakal/CAI, a huge supporter of liberty related media, took some time to help “Tea Party-ers” understand the real problem with the world today.

This amazing speech is something that I think everyone should watch:
