Victim Crimes vs Victimless Crimes in Mount Laurel, NJ

On Tuesday, August 14th, 2012, I attended court at the Mount Laurel, NJ courthouse with Nicholas Shankin to observe his 7th court appearance for his drug charge. Thankfully, his case was dismissed and all charges dropped because the prosecutor did not have the evidence to back up the state’s case against Nicholas.

While there for only an hour, I witnessed a tragedy of people having their names called out and one by one they trudged up in front of the judge, in his beautiful robe! I decided that I would take a tally on how many victim crimes vs victimless crimes were taken up that hour.

Here is the tally, in all its glory:

Victim Crimes

Animal Cruelty

Check Fraud

Victimless Crimes

Speeding

Possession of marijuana

Littering

Soliciting w/o a license

Soliciting w/o a permit

Storing construction material in an unauthorized zone

Possession

Careless driving

DUI

Reckless driving

Throwing rocks into road

All of this in under 1 hour, oh the humanity! I estimated that the state garnered well over $3000 in less than one hour from mostly victimless crimes.

I also witnessed the judge being the daddy that we all need, lol!

The judge:

1. Take your hands out of your pockets! (He said this to 2 different people)

2. Grilled a woman about her living arrangements and wages.

3. Don’t interrupt me!

After Nicholas’s case was dismissed, I threw my arms into the air in victory (said nothing) and Nicholas danced his way out of the courtroom! The judge screamed at us and said that he would not tolerate that kind of behavior in his courtroom and then he yelled that we were not at a baseball game! I wanted to laugh at him, especially since I was wearing my Copblock t-shirt! I then got up slowly, all the while smiling sweetly at the judge, picked up my belongings and slowly walked out of the courtroom! The judge glared at me the whole time!

What a farce the state is, instead of focusing on real victim crimes, they spent about 96% of the hour I was there prosecuting victimless crimes. I kept thinking about what a financial racket the court system really is. This was the first time in many years that I had been inside a courthouse and I couldn’t believe it. In a few instances, people were not allowed to leave until they called each and every person they knew to pay their fines.

I walked away that day with mixed feelings, while I was ecstatic that Nicholas was exonerated, I was saddened by the victims of the state who had their hard earned money stolen from them by a man in a dress.

I also talked about Copblock outside the courthouse and handed out cards and literature!

Criminal Gang Robs Alcohol from Liberty Lovefest in Worcester, MA

Keeniacs were in Worcester, MA this past weekend for the 2nd “Liberty Lovefest” (a concert/party event) when the local uniformed criminal gang barged in and stole all the event’s alcohol. I guess the gang had themselves a nice party with all the beer and liquor they robbed from the peaceful folks at the Lovefest who were just minding their own business and having a little fun. Fortunately the gang members did not kidnap anyone – they just took the alcohol. That probably means they went straight out to have their own party, since they didn’t have to process anyone who they might have arrested.

Here’s raw video from the incident, courtesy FreetheAgora:

I love it when Beau, the main cameraman, says to them, “This is theft!” Call it like it is!

Activist Wiretaps in Response to Ademo’s Conviction!

After the conviction of FK blogger and CopBlock.org founder Ademo Freeman on three felony counts of “wiretapping”, Manchester liberty activist William Kostric approached prosecutor Michael Valentine and told him that he was going to go home and wiretap the police and send Valentine the evidence.

Kostric has followed through on his promise, and here’s the proof. The video below includes his original promise to Valentine and the actual call to the police where he in no way indicates to them that he is recording.

Will Valentine prosecute? Kostric has done the same thing as Ademo and has even rubbed Valentine’s nose in it. If Kostric is prosecuted, it will allow him to take on the same ridiculous charge with a different approach and new jury. If he’s not prosecuted, it will be further proof of the arbitrary nature of the “justice” system.

My Message to the State Legislature on NH Wiretapping Law

On Wednesday August 15, 2012 the NH Legislature’s Criminal Justice Committee held a subcommittee meeting pertaining to HB 553 (a bill to modify NH wiretapping law). The meeting was very informal, as opposed the the formal hearings held by a full committee or the state legislature.

There were approximately two dozen people in attendance, several State Rep’s, a representative of the Governor’s office, the Attorney General’s office, a Police Chief, a lobbyist and 11 friends of Ademo Freeman. (more…)

“The New World Manifesto” Covers Ademo’s Trial, Visits Keene Afterward!

8 people, 8,000 miles across the US in a veggie-powered school bus, 40 days & 40 nights – it’s The New World Manifesto! Some of TNWM are from as far away as Poland, and others as close as Burlington, VT. They have just recently kicked off their tour and one of the first stops was Ademo’s “wiretapping” trial on Monday. I’ll post their video(s) when they are available, but for now here are some of the photos they took and their first blog from NH (they came to Keene to see our community after the trial was over).
