In her recent Free Keene Forum post, Lauren puts to rest all the claims by the liberty-haters that she was not invited to the jail:
After the message was left on the phone I called back. I said who I was and asked if I could pick up Rich Paul. They said they’d get him ready to go. When I got to the jail I politely said I was here to pick up Rich Paul. The receptionist politely asked me to sit and wait.
About 20 minutes later, KPD showed up and arrested her for “trespassing”.
Either the COs are guilty of incompetence and aggression (by perhaps not informing the other COs of Lauren’s imminent arrival) or are up to some aggressive shenanigans. Still no call back from either Eli Rivera of KPD or Rick Van Wickler at the jail, and why should they bother commenting? They’ll get your money whether they speak or not. If you don’t pay for their aggression against peaceful people, then men calling themselves “sheriffs” will come and kick you out of the home you thought you owned.
Still believe they are here to serve and protect you?
Thanks to WKBK for covering this outrage.

After telling Lauren Canario she could come pick him up, then arresting her when she arrived for “trespassing”, apparently Rich Paul was not released, at least not according to the jail operator who says Rich is still in their system. No one has seen Rich outside the jail this afternoon.
I have calls in to KPD’s officer-in-charge-at-the-time Eli Rivera and the jail’s superintendent Rick Van Wickler for their comment on this matter.

Today, Rich Paul was released from jail. For some reason, they called Lauren Canario to let her know she could pick him up. Lauren thinks it’s because she wrote to him in jail and gave him her phone number. As you may recall, last year Lauren was arrested as part of the Trespassive Twelve at the jail for “criminal trespass” for the horrible crime of assembling on public property. You know, that thing they talk about in the first amendment to the US constitution?
So, Lauren goes to the jail to pick up Rich Paul and finds herself arrested for trespassing! After twenty minutes of waiting on them to release Rich, Keene Police officer Uhas rolls up and arrests Lauren. He fills out a complaint then takes Lauren into Keene where she is released from city hall’s district court where she has an arraignment on Wednesday June 8th at 8:30am.
WTF are they thinking? They told her she could come pick him up! As you may recall, Lauren and the others, including myself, were banned from the jail property for a year back in June of 2010. The exception to the ban being when we are given permission to come on the property. She went to the property after they called her and told her she could come get Rich!
Have they just not arrested enough liberty activists recently? Are they begging for a party at the jail parking lot? Clearly they aren’t looking for money, because they must have learned by now that Lauren does not pay fines, right?

Bob Constantine, AKA His Excellency The Elder Reverend Ambassador Weeda Claus, hasn’t been idle despite being held in a cage without his consent by a violent criminal gang. He’s been doing outreach by spreading the word about Law Enforcement Against Prohibition with his jailers and discussing the concept of victimless “crimes” with the other men he’s held captive with. So far he has written three letters, and this is the first:
My mom dropped me off earlier today at 8:55 am. She has a list of a few books she’ll be sending me. The Creature from Jekyll Island should keep me busy for a while.
So far things are not too bad. I think the pen I’m writing with is a “jail pen” and it’s a bit floppy… security reasons I assume. There’s a good possibility I will be out in 40 days due to “good behavior” or so I’m told.
There are some books in the ahem “library” and I’ve suggested a few, Isaac Asimov’s. Somehow I got a corner cubicle w/ window so I’m thankful for that. One of the guards gave me some paper (2 pieces.) I’m told I can buy some on Monday which should be enough to start outlining a book. One of the Jail Captains called me “The Cannabis Guy” so apparently the trial and ensuing events did not go unnoticed. “renowned” at last! (more…)
