Criminal Gang Robs Alcohol from Liberty Lovefest in Worcester, MA

Keeniacs were in Worcester, MA this past weekend for the 2nd “Liberty Lovefest” (a concert/party event) when the local uniformed criminal gang barged in and stole all the event’s alcohol. I guess the gang had themselves a nice party with all the beer and liquor they robbed from the peaceful folks at the Lovefest who were just minding their own business and having a little fun. Fortunately the gang members did not kidnap anyone – they just took the alcohol. That probably means they went straight out to have their own party, since they didn’t have to process anyone who they might have arrested.

Here’s raw video from the incident, courtesy FreetheAgora:

I love it when Beau, the main cameraman, says to them, “This is theft!” Call it like it is!

My Message to the State Legislature on NH Wiretapping Law

On Wednesday August 15, 2012 the NH Legislature’s Criminal Justice Committee held a subcommittee meeting pertaining to HB 553 (a bill to modify NH wiretapping law). The meeting was very informal, as opposed the the formal hearings held by a full committee or the state legislature.

There were approximately two dozen people in attendance, several State Rep’s, a representative of the Governor’s office, the Attorney General’s office, a Police Chief, a lobbyist and 11 friends of Ademo Freeman. (more…)

Upset about Ademo’s conviction? Do Something!

Upset about the Ademo decision?
Don’t just cuss and moan, DO something.

Next step, The House Criminal Justice committee is taking is THIS WEDNESDAY.
An Interim Study subcommittee on HB 553 has been scheduled for Wednesday August 15 at 10am in LOB 208 (facebook event)

The subcommittee’s task is to study the bill and recommend to the full committee that it is either Recommended for Future Legislation or Not Recommended for Future Legislation. As the bill makes numerous changes to the wiretapping statute, it may be helpful to consult RSA 570-A for comparison.

Rep. Mark Warden, who attended Ademo’s trial, is the chairman of this subcommittee. He says: “If you come, we’ll hear your testimony. There is some desire within the legislature to clear up this horrible statute, but nobody has found a solid solution in the language. Additionally, many legislators love Big Brother, er, I mean big government, and kowtow to what the Attorney General’s office and other law enforcement types say. And, of course, _they_ want everything to be illegal — it means job security for them.”

This is just another step in the process, but today’s verdict shows reform is needed, not merely theory…
