Heika reports that the Hundred Nights Shelter is having a yard sale Saturday, October 2nd from 8-2 on Emerald Street in the old City Tire lot across from the Center at Keene. They do not receive any government funding and rely solely on donations. The donations have been getting scarce as of late. So the yard sale is a fundraiser to help with these costs. I encourage everyone to please take a few minutes and look through your things for anything that may be donated to sell in the yard sale. The only things not accepted at this time are clothing and large pieces of furniture. Books, dvds, videos, video games, kitchenware, board games, toys, etc would be great! Please send Heika an email at h_courser at yahoo.com or post to the forum thread if you have anything you are willing to part with to help this shelter. I will do my best to accommodate your schedule to pick things up from you throughout the week. Also, on Saturday, I will have a separate table to accept sleeping bags, tents, tarps, winter jackets, and any cash donations. So stop on by, donate items, buy something, or give the change in your pocket! Everything is greatly appreciated!

Julian Heicklen is touring the country visiting different federal courthouses and handing out FIJA info. The fed agents are usually more dangerous and uppity than the state bureaucrats. Just last week a liberty activist, George Donnelly, (who is NH-bound) was kidnapped at Julian’s event. Julian has been kidnapped multiple times. That’s why we need an EXTRA awesome turnout for when he visits Concord on June 23, 2010, from 11:45 am until 1:15 pm, U. S. District Courthouse, Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse, 55 Pleasant Street, Concord, 03301.
This is conveniently scheduled the Wed of Porcfest week so PLENTY of activists should be available. See you there! Here’s the Free Keene Forum discussion.

Free Keene is sponsoring a hole at the upcoming first annual charity miniature golf tournament, benefiting Hundred Nights Shelter. The event is happening at Arnone’s Family Fun Center on Route 32 in Swanzey, Saturday 5/22, starting with an 11:00am “Tee Off”. Tickets are $8 for an individual and $30 for a foursome. Individual players will be combined into a team of four. There will be prize drawings all day and the round of mini golf and a go-cart ride is included with every ticket! Tickets are available the day-of or in advance by calling 313-5807 or 352-8105. Hundred Nights t-shirts commemorating the event will be given to the first hundred registrants.
Plus, anybody that shows up and orders breakfast between 9:00 and noon at Arnone’s, owner John Arnone will donate 10% of the tab to Hundred Nights. Please note that thanks to Arnone’s, 100% of the proceeds from the golf tournament, the go-karts, face painting, raffles and everything else going on during the hours of 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM will go to Hundred Nights!
See you there! Here’s the forum thread for further discussion.

Concord-area liberty activist Neal Connor announces the State Capitol Smokeout in a post to the Free Keene Forum:
“Would you smoke a bowl for freedom?”
After years spent engaging the political process, fighting not just for legalization but simply for decriminalization and medical marijuana, it should be apparent to all that New Hampshire politicians have no intention of listening to reason.
Instead, we must demonstrate to all that we will not be intimidated by their words on paper. As peaceful people we refuse to submit to their violent rule of law. As Penn Jillette said, “Fighting for freedom is a losing battle. Taking liberty is what real Americans do.”
Let us take our liberty. Join us on the lawn of the State Capitol building as we celebrate our rights as free people! Bring some friends, some bud, and a revolutionary spirit.
Invite your friends to our Facebook event!
Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2010
Time: 4:20 PM
Place: State House lawn (107 N. Main St., Concord)

As you know, the Spring 2010 Free Keene Fest is this Sunday at Railroad Sq. in downtown Keene from 11a-4p. If you are coming out, please bring some non-perishable food for the Free Keene food drive to be donated to the Community Kitchen. Also please bring any books you’d like to donate to the Cheshire jail library. (Preferably pro-liberty books.) Here’s the forum thread about this event.
Thanks in advance for your help!
