Robin Hood Releases Cease and Desist Letter, Doge Address

rhood_doge3a1Published to the Robin Hood of Keene facebook page today was a statement explaining that a separate legal matter previously lodged against the Merry People had been resolved outside of court. While details are scarce, at least one redacted documented relative that that issue was also linked.

The Merry People truly made a media splash in the aftermath of a failed lawsuit filed against us by ‘the City of Keene’. However, a much more powerful adversary had also lodged legal claims against Robin Hood last year, and until now, we have chosen not to make public those civil charges. Fortunately, our representatives and theirs were able to work out a deal, and all is settled. To uphold our end of the bargain, we have modified our profile image on this page and will be publishing only a redacted copy the original ‘cease and desist’ letter.

Judge Kissinger dismisses case of Salada, et al. v Keene School District

On Friday March 28, Judge John Kissinger from the Cheshire Superior Court issued this 6 page ruling in the case of Salada et al. v. Keene School District

In dismissing the case, Kissinger ignored the press release from the NH State Senate that was included in the Memorandum of Law filed by the petitioners, and instead cited Webster’s Dictionary to determine “the plain meaning of statutory terms.”

The petitioner’s have note yet decided how to proceed, and may opt to contact State Representatives to inform them of the court decision that seems to be in direct opposition to the legislative intent.

You can read more about the case here, and here.

Agora Cab Runs on Bitcoin

Need a ride around New Hampshire? Agora Cab does a great job shuttling people around efficiently at far cheaper rates than more traditional cab services. While primarily based out of Manchester, Agora Cab frequently goes to and from Keene, and has been a lifeline for activists seeking to travel between the two. Also, Bitcoin is their preferred mode of payment, so if you’re looking to keep government money out of the transaction, you’re in luck.

When my car was out of commission because the state took my plates, I heavily relied on Agora Cab to get to and from work without completely depleting my financial reserves. It just goes to show the power of the community in voluntarily providing a valuable service that the state regulates; or, in my case, completely removes.

This week’s AKPF #1 installment is the third of three parts of Robin Hood’s Direct Action akpf_patrioticPanel from the 2014 New Hampshire Liberty Forum. This never before seen edit of the panel includes b-roll embedded to better illustrate the scenes as painted by the panelists. This footage will air on Cheshire TV at 7:00pm on March 31, as per the usual AKPF #1 timeslot.

Crime Dog McGruff Featured in Illustrated AKPF Video

The issue of parking and its enforcement in downtown Keene occupied much of the final akpfsafety-tips-from-mcgruff-the-crime-doghour during yesterday’s weekly episode of SoundOff on WKBK radio. Hosts Greg Pregent and Chris Cotes were joined by Keene Sentinel correspondent Kyle Jarvis. One of the calls in to the show was placed by none other than city code enforcement officer Fred Parsells, who has previously moonlighted for the federal Toilet Safety Administration and has also operated as a chalk removal agent for the AKPF. Hear the entirety of the parking analysis as posted in audio format to Free Keene.

Response to “STOP FREE KEENE!!!” Misinformation

Local hater group, “STOP FREE KEENE!!!” received press today from the Sentinel and rather than speak to reporter Kyle Jarvis they released the following statement, according to a comment on the Sentinel’s site by group founder Andrea Parkhurst Whitcomb.  In this article, I respond to their statement which appears in-full, in the block quotes below:

“Stop Free Keene is a loosely organized group or 200+ Keene/Monadnock residents who are concerned and alarmed by the goals and tactics of Free Keene and it’s affiliate organizations. This includes the desire for the abolishment or privatization of all government agencies and services like police, fire, and judicial systems as well as the complete dismantling of public education and regulatory oversight of food, medicine, and the environment.

Free Keene is a website – it has no tactics as it’s only a wordpress site. The purpose of the site is to share news, activism, and opinion in the hopes of advancing society to a consensual order rather than one based on institutionalized coercion. Please see our “About” page for details. Each person that blogs for Free Keene has their own tactics and they may not all agree on the best way to go about achieving their goals. Personally, I don’t support privatizing police, fire, and justice. I just want the markets open to competition and have the state agencies no longer funded by the threat of force. I support education, good food, health care, and a clean environment. I just don’t think a monopoly is the best way to provide those services. If you want to know what other Free Keene bloggers think, feel free to ask them.

Free Keene and its affiliates have made it a priority to harass, intimidate, or otherwise silence their critics and those they perceive as “enemies of liberty”.
