High School Outreach Success

Filed under: Outreach — Ian at 1:24 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2009

Dale and I went out to hold the Free Keene banner outside Keene high school and Dave Ridley was there to cover it. It’s too bad he didn’t come out for the second one, as we had several young people out with us including at least a couple KHS students. This event will be weekly on Fridays at 2pm in front of KHS until further notice. Check the Calendar for more stuff to do.

Capuzzo brought out some of his friends. At least two of the ladies were high schoolers.

Should Dave had said that this is the first “Free Keener” H.S. sign wave? I guess it’s both. FK isn’t directly related to FSP, though, right?

Hi guys I’ve been following freekeene for a while now. I am a freshman in highschool and really think students need to be taught the truth about their rights and other subjects such as marijuana. It is great that you are starting to get highschoolers involved as we need to start speaking up more and more. It would be cool if you could try to get flyers out to as many schools as you can. If you need help with this, I can see what I can do.

Great audience you are advertising for. A group of generally lazy, ignorant idiots. This is a group that generally doesnt know even basic geography, math or civics and you want them in your fold? I am sure most of their interest comes from wanting to get stoned. Great way to dilute the average IQ of your group even further. I will recognize those students that work, study and try very hard to get themselves ahead in this statist world. But I dont think that crowd gives a shit about getting stoned or hanging with your type though.
Why dont you try to recruit average, middle age working practical people….wait….that wont work. They dont have time for your nonsense.

go ahead and call us highschool kids all ignorant and lazy. but within ever highschool there are students like me that want to help change. Teens can also help more with spreading the word around about activism and why we don’t fully have all of our rights.

Mr. Troll,

If highschoolers are as you describe, it’s because government schools suck.

Student in Hopkinton,

I’ve asked a local Hopkinton activist I know, Denis, to post here. I’m sure you guys will work well together!
