Radio TowerLiberty activists (including Dave Ridley) called “Talkback” on WKBK last week to discuss stealing of an activists’ camera by an EMT, HIPAA, ClimateGate, voting with dollars, so-called representation, homeless voting, and Nick Ryder.

These people really have never heard of civil disobedience?

The underground railroad, Egyptian independence, Indian independence, The crumbling of the Communist government in East Germany and in what’s now the Czech Republic, the independence of the Baltic states from the USSR, Women’s sufferage, the end of segregation, and more, brought to you by Civil Disobedience — “it’s what you do when you REALLY want to get it done” ™.

But I guess these fools were just throwing rocks. After all, you have to work within the system to effect change. Disobeying immoral laws accomplishes nothing.

Now, hold on while I make my plans for Martin Luther King day.

I just really wanted to see that posted again.

It reminds me that we are on the right side of history, and nothing else really matters – stay peaceful and diligent, and no matter the wider societal success, we are successful just in acting for the forces of good.

I really like listening to these Talkback segments, it helps us to understand how others not of the liberty mindset sees things and how we can communicate with them.

I liked Sams comment about “instant term limits” LOL, very nice.

That said, he shouldn’t talk about scientific things like vaccines, “Big Pharma” or “ClimateGate”, because he falls into the collective of conspiracy nutjob when he talks about that stuff.

Sorry, the material from ClimateGate doesn’t “prove” anything about the evidence for global warming. There is NOT scientific consensus that the earth is cooling, that is an outright lie.

“Climate-gate” hasn’t discredited the science, science isn’t based on one team, or one study, and it’s on the same conclusions coming from various different scientific disciplines and consistent data.

Yes, the science and politics getting intermingled is bad, I agree. BUT, because of Sams dislike for the government (which I share) he already has his conclusion that since the government is supporting it then it must be wrong, rather than following the evidence. It’s akin to a Christian saying evolution can’t be true because they already have their conclusion (Bible says God created everything as is) so they skew their views on the evidence with that conclusion already in mind.
