Audio: WKBK’s “Talkback” 2009-11-28
Liberty activists (including Dave Ridley) called “Talkback” on WKBK last week to discuss stealing of an activists’ camera by an EMT, HIPAA, ClimateGate, voting with dollars, so-called representation, homeless voting, and Nick Ryder.
Please join us for our weekly chat and calling sessions on Saturday mornings from 11a-12p in the Free Keene Chat room. If you’re online, you can listen to Talkback streamed live via the Liberty Radio Network and if you’re in the Keene area you can tune in to WKBK 1290 AM or 104.1 FM. The Talkback discussion thread is here on the Free Keene Forum.

“If I had all the answers, I’d be king” -Fred
Disgusting
These people really have never heard of civil disobedience?
The underground railroad, Egyptian independence, Indian independence, The crumbling of the Communist government in East Germany and in what’s now the Czech Republic, the independence of the Baltic states from the USSR, Women’s sufferage, the end of segregation, and more, brought to you by Civil Disobedience — “it’s what you do when you REALLY want to get it done” ™.
But I guess these fools were just throwing rocks. After all, you have to work within the system to effect change. Disobeying immoral laws accomplishes nothing.
Now, hold on while I make my plans for Martin Luther King day.

I just really wanted to see that posted again.
It reminds me that we are on the right side of history, and nothing else really matters – stay peaceful and diligent, and no matter the wider societal success, we are successful just in acting for the forces of good.
I really like listening to these Talkback segments, it helps us to understand how others not of the liberty mindset sees things and how we can communicate with them.
I liked Sams comment about “instant term limits” LOL, very nice.
That said, he shouldn’t talk about scientific things like vaccines, “Big Pharma” or “ClimateGate”, because he falls into the collective of conspiracy nutjob when he talks about that stuff.
Sorry, the material from ClimateGate doesn’t “prove” anything about the evidence for global warming. There is NOT scientific consensus that the earth is cooling, that is an outright lie.
“Climate-gate” hasn’t discredited the science, science isn’t based on one team, or one study, and it’s on the same conclusions coming from various different scientific disciplines and consistent data.
Yes, the science and politics getting intermingled is bad, I agree. BUT, because of Sams dislike for the government (which I share) he already has his conclusion that since the government is supporting it then it must be wrong, rather than following the evidence. It’s akin to a Christian saying evolution can’t be true because they already have their conclusion (Bible says God created everything as is) so they skew their views on the evidence with that conclusion already in mind.
As an EMT in massachusetts, i would have had you locked up for interfering with patient care. My first responsibily as an EMT is my crews safety. If i really wanted to be an ass i can say that scene is not safe for me to enter. While i am waiting for the scene to be made safe by law enforcement that patient is just getting worse. So in the future please stay out of our way. We dont care about what your political agenda is all we care about is doing our job. A little FYI for you, a hippa violation was commited when you showed the face of the man on the ambulance stretcher. On a happier note… that chick that wants to tattoo herself is hot. to bad she has already been brain washed.

For videotaping? You’d be lying to excuse an aggressively violent attack.

An ass, and a liar. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

You need to be “made safe” from a guy with a camera phone? You just really like coming up with B.S. excuses to attack people you disagree with politically, don’t you?
So in the future please stay out of our way.
He was standing out of the way.
We dont care about what your political agenda is all we care about is doing our job.
Apparently quite the opposite, if you want to make a big stink out of someone with a camera phone, to the detriment of the patient.
A little FYI for you, a hippa violation was commited when you showed the face of the man on the ambulance stretcher.
A little FYI, that’s bullcrap. And the man on the stretcher WANTED to be taped.
You’re just desperate to find an excuse to attack people who you personally disagree with, aren’t you?
to bad she has already been brain washed.
Yes, what a crazy idea that we shouldn’t extort money from innocent people, by threatening aggressive violence against them, and then use that money to fund things they find morally reprehensible.
Why, theft is magically a-ok if you work for the government! Moral standards do not apply to the behaviors of politicians, or those they hire!
Maybe you want to do a little thinking on exactly who is brainwashed here.
i understand your stance against big government and the certain individuals who corupt it. My point was not to attack your veiws and im sorry if i may have come off that way. My point was simply please stay out of our way, we are not the government we are simply there to help someone when it is needed. We get put through enough everyday with patients spitting on us or attacking us just read the recent news my post was not ment to attack your political veiws or the extremes of them. I just wish people would try to put themselves in our shoes. I

Fair enough. I’m sorry if I came off antagonistically, and I absolutely appreciate the good work EMTs like you do to help those suffering from medical emergencies.
But, in the situation you’re commenting on, the particular EMT acted very inappropriately. The strength of my reaction was due to your apparent endorsement of his behavior, or even stronger behavior against a person merely filming from a distance.
I watched the video. Ian was standing well out of the way — the man ran over, and simply snatched his camera. It was the fact that he was filming, or even broader frustration over his political views that motivated the man’s behavior.
Even if Ian had been standing in the way of him doing his job, which he was not, snatching the camera wouldn’t have been a solution anyway.
I do agree that Sam should have been quiet, however. While I don’t think it prevented the man from doing his job, Sam’s behavior was far more objectionable.
Ian was just standing there.
I am glad we can meet on a middle ground here. I personally would not have grabbed the camera phone but would rather have asked for it to be put down. As with every thing in life, there are a number of ways to handle a situation. Maybe that medic felt at that time it was the best way to take control. I also understand that we were all given a voice to speak with and the first amendment to help us with that voice however it is much easier to talk with someone than to shout at them and greater feats are accomplished.

…..Sorry, dude…that “medic”, or EMT, is just as well known among local LEO’s, as he is among fire/rescue/emt’s…he was acting as a surrogate LEO, knowing the thin blue line stretches easily enough to include fire/rescue/emt’s…He could literally get away with murder…Officer (name redacted) here in Keene recently got away with murder…But, having said it that way, no, I wasn’t there when it happened..but, I am still here *AFTER* it happened…So is the officer….It was a damn tough judgement call…and, personally knowing at least one other on-scene LEO, yes, it was a tough, tough, tough call…and people *DIED*…That’s the stakes, people…In attempting to “water the Tree of Liberty with the blood of Tyrants”, sometimes, the blood of the innocent must also be shed…God Bless America, God Damn America…Your choice. I’ve made mine. I’m Mahayana Buddhist….And, yes, Ian & Sam are 2 of our bravest FREEDOM FIGHTERS…But, so too is that cop w/the gun, one of our bravest Freedom Fighters…*I AM THE ONGOING MILITARY COUP*…~tKoK….FIRST RESPONDERS ROCK!!!…~tKoK…
…”the Revolution will not be televised, if they keep confiscating the people’s audio-video equipment…”***BUT*** We can always watch it on CheshireTV, channel 8, local Public Access, thanks to Time-Warner Cable!…(they also got that god-damned commie hippie-pinko fag pot-smoker Rick Blood, but, wacha gonna do???……~tKoK.
