I happen to know several very resposible and upstanding parents who live in the chiefs’ jurisdiction of Enfield. They are cannabis users and exercise dicipline and educational support for thier children. They are low key and do not smoke in front of the kids. The chief needs to start serving and stop dictating failed policies. I always get paranoid when driving the lake road through Enfield, those cruisers like to hide around the bendy curves.

It was very refreshing to see a member of LEAP step up to the plate.

The arguments of the Police Chief and the Asst. Atty General were predictable and wrong, lacking scientific evidence and instead relying on a very thinly veiled and authoritarian position. They could have just said, “because we say so” and it would have been more honest. Both gave very lame testimony at the recent legislative hearings too. Predictable and sad.

Jails are proffit centers for the states. Pot will NEVER to legal because it is too proffitable illegal. It is protectionism for alcohol, and the perscription drug companys. If we can medicate ourselves with plants that we grow ourselves in our back yard, the state looses revenue through taxes on legal medication and alcohol. It all comes down to money.
