Nashua Court Thugs Threaten Keeniacs
2009 NH Liberty Alliance Activist of the Year Keith Carlsen and some others went to accompany Free Keene’s David Krouse to the arraignment scheduled this morning regarding when he was arrested for courageously standing in front of a Nashua police undercover car as they attempted to kidnap a peaceful cannabis smoker. The activists were threatened multiple times by the state’s court thugs. Here’s the audio:
- Cell phones banned.
- Keith and David threatened with arrest.
- Another threat.
- Audio of the arraignment, including the robed woman defending the thugs’ threats.
The trial for David is April 26th at 8:15am. It sounds like the Nashua court bureaucrats could use a large turnout of liberty-loving activists armed with cameras and audio recorders. These people have never experienced liberty activists prior to David and Keith, and the turnout at his arraignment was very small, as it was not really promoted. Let’s see a huge turnout for this heroic man’s trial! Here’s the forum discussion thread.

I wish you wouldn’t have used the full name. I’m in fear. I hope the cop guy was having a bad week or something because if that is how he normally acts I fear for the safety of the people of Nashua.
David, I promise you I will be there next time. If you want a hand with some tactics hit me on the forum’s private message service.
I know you don’t like using the legal system but there were a couple basic questions you could have asked to box her in and guarantee an appeal.
From the non-lawyer non-cooperation standpoint, I’d go into this as wanting to make them waste as much money as possible.
The resisting charge could be beaten with good legal arguments but the disorderly will likely stick. That said, you’re looking at a Class A misdemeanor which gives you the right to a jury trial.
I’d take it, going into the trial knowing you’re not going to win and try to appeal to the jury that your arrest was bullshit.
Even if you lose your reputation is sound with me and you forced them to spend a lot of money to convict you, if that’s what turns out to happen.
I’m going to start working on a post that matches “Adventures in Legal Land” to NH specific rules.
Mark doesn’t use conspiracy tactics, he just uses the rules of procedure against the system to demonstrate for anyone in the room that something is really wrong with our justice system.
It’s fun to use it just to stump the judge and prosecutor and make them dodge the questions. It will usually give you good, basic grounds to appeal especially if the non-response is on the record.
There is no winning, it’s all about making them waste the money. Did anyone see the Union Leader article about court furloughs this week?
Keith, you are heard giving your full name to the thug on the audio. Didn’t seem like a secret.
At about 1:40 in the arraignment audio the Judge
advised David of his “5th amendment privileges”….I thought they were “rights”. David was not advised of his “rights” was he?
I think you meant, the robed, petty tyrant bureaucrat woman with a room temperature IQ.
What a biach! She threatened to hold the guy in contempt for excessively “challenging the court?” Being an assertive citizen, asking questions, and zealously defending yourself? It’s illegal.
THROW THE BUMS OUT. Time to clean house. Bureaucrat time is done. Internet RULES.
This robed woman could not have been more condescending to David, and that officer was out of control.
Question for the robed woman: “Even if I was engaging in conduct that warranted the officer’s threat of arrest, does that excuse the officer from his legal duty to disclose his name and badge number upon request?”
Clearly this officer is embarrassed by his own behavior at a subconscious level, and afraid to be ostracized by his community for his thuggish activities. I can think of no other reason why he would so timidly shy away from this simple question, especially when the men he questioned did not.
The audio is difficult to follow in places. For the trial, if possible, I hope someone can bring high quality recording equipment, including cameras.
There’s a lot of man hating female lawyers who hate men and get off on exercising power over them. At every law school all the angriest man hating chicks want to become prosecutors to sooth their warped, victimized psyches by ordering men around and locking them up. The only place a harridan like this judge could be in charge of men is in a government court, so that’s why all the man hating feminist lawyers work there. Their power’s all fake though. It only exists cuz of government and politics, not merit. Publish one book, article, or blog post and you will have accomplished more than some idiotic judge ever will.
I love seeing the word ‘harridan’ in print. I didn’t think people knew that one anymore!
Well guys, now you are playing with serious judges and not some back water washed up bench reject. Rules are different in the big city and dont be surprised if you find yourselves hit with contempt charges and sent off to manchester for some jail time.
One of the top litigators in the United States once told me: “All judges are failed lawyers.” Which makes sense when you consider the fact that they earn far less than their *successful* private counterparts. And don’t give me any of that “for the love of justice” nonsense, that’s clearly not in evidence.
Don’t worry about the “big city” judges. Just stick to your game plan, expose the injustices inherent in the system, and you’ll continue to make headway.
The “serious judges” care even more about publicity, as most of them aspire to higher public office. Use that to your favor, and they’ll come around when they realize that their tactics are not playing well in the press or in the court of public opinion.
I hope you know that recording someone without their permission is a felony…
I have closely followed this on the Ridlioes, and this man deserves support for his courageous action of civil disobedience (by placing his body in front of the kidnapper’s car). I would fly in from Oakland if I could because I think it’s THAT important. If I had been in Nashua that day I would like to think he wouldn’t have been the lone body, I’m inspired by his selfless act, because it was so obviously the right thing to do. I would like to ask one of you reading this to go in my place. I believe it is crucial for the courts to be aware that such actions have value to liberty-minded individuals. Thanks. Dave from Oakland (one of the ten-thousand nh-bound free-staters-in-waiting)
Court can be an intimidating experience, in fact, in many cases (where there is no “victim”), and you are defending your “rights” (not “priviliges”), one is often treated to several attempts of humiliation in order to force submission and dissuade one from future notions of “equality”. This has been my general experience as a defendant in victimless misdemeanor cases. You have to bring knowledge of the law or the judge will humiliate you and also act as an attorney for the prosecution, since her (or his) goal is to balance “the books”, which means $$$ from the defendant is required. You have to think of “court” as a foreign place, with its own unique language (designed to entrap you). I can assure you that court personel experience “you” as a “foreigner”, one who is beneath them. They hate a knowledgeable defendant, who acts in his (or her) own defense. Jmo, of course.
So, to ask again, the as-yet-un-answered question: “If all the courts do is collect $$$ from people, like, if that’s their only / main reason for being, then why are the NH courts having lay-offs & closings due to budget cuts??? If what you people say is true – that the courts’ actions are only designed to get compliance & $$$, – How come the courts don’t just issue a bunch of warrants, and fine a bunch of people, to raise funds???…I still say that NH Courts are subsidized from taxpayer$$$, and that they would be bankrupt, if they had to survive on “user fees”. The NH Courts are hurting. Now is the time to get in there, and defeat them legally. Glad to see the lively debate on the forum. Good work, people!.tKoK.
