250+ Converge at State House for Massive 420 Rally!

Video to come as it is released. For now, enjoy a few pics from a tremendously successful 4:20 on 4/20 rally at the Concord state house! Despite it being 40 degrees out with a good chance of rain, over 250 people gathered peacefully to consume cannabis and celebrate personal freedom in hopes that the government aggressors will stop their violence against peaceful cannabis users. The demonstrators even walked through the state house, stopping in the lobby to sing songs about freedom and then traveling upstairs to attempt to visit the man calling himself “governor”, who had either escaped out the back door or was “in a meeting”. It was an amazing day! The police, as with last year, did nothing more than watch from afar! The state blinks again!!! Listen to tonight’s Free Talk Live for more detail on some of what went down. Thanks to Rob Nair for these photos:

Crowd
The crowd doesn’t fit into one picture – it was big!

Rich
A jovial Rich Paul addresses the crowd.
Regular folks
Most of the happy, peaceful crowd I had never seen before at any liberty events. Regular Granite Staters were the supermajority of the crowd! They were both young and old – the issue of personal freedom cuts across generations. Hopefully they will continue their activism!
anti-chalking security guard
A security guard calls the police on the chalking activists – they never came and he slinked off when confronted. (There should be video of this encounter to come.)
not-so-undercover
As with previous 420 celebrations at the state house, the police did nothing but watch.
Warden
Liberty-oriented state representative Mark Warden enjoys the sight of the crowd marching to the house steps.
Guitar
Guy with a guitar sang some Bob Dylan’s “The Times, They Are A-Changing” and as you can see behind him, even the state house columns were chalked!
Chalking
Lots of chalking, everywhere!
Heroes
Jason Talley from the Civil Disobedience Evolution Fund was there along with Bob “Weeda Claus” Constantine, and Evan “The Emperor” Pierce (freshly out of jail for smoking cannabis at Pumpkin Fest in 2009).
counterprotestor
The guy on the left was the only counterprotestor present. He was very confused. On one hand, he complained about the amount of people in jail, and on the other advocated putting more drug users in jail. He said that we were ruining the state.
CHalking
Blaze on!
