Triumphant Return to High School Outreach

Today Ian Freeman and I went to Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, New Hampshire to hand out “Philosophy of Liberty” flyers to the students as they left for the busses. You may remember that this used to be a regular event for Keene activists back in 2011 and 2012. We successfully handed out dozens of flyers to students, and some even stopped us to ask a few more questions about the material and ideas. It was a successful outreach event, and I intend to continue sharing these pamphlets with curious minds. Here’s the video from today:

I only saw one young lady talk to both of you and she wasn’t asking about or sharing ideas.  I believe he only reason why you weren’t escorted off the property is because the principal and teachers were busy. I suspect the next time you go on campus, you just may not get… Read more »

Jumping Jacks That’s fine.  Some of us have kids who are sympathetic and budding young activists, who go to that school, who have good reputations with their peers.  It turns out, freedom is more popular with the kids at that school than the adults who send them there.

We’re breeding 🙂

maat922 Jumping Jacks I have two children in that school. They have as of yet to run into anyone who agrees with these activists. They have said all of their friends and classmates do not like freekeene nor do they subscribe to their ideas.

PabloKoh Jumping Jacks There will always be returning soldiers with a chip on their shoulder. They are usually angry because they weren’t counted as “special” within their units,  typically have control issues, and a poor service record. They can say what they want but remember, those people signed up with the  military and it was their decision. They made the choice.

Jumping Jacks maat922 It’s not surprising that a group-thinking person such as yourself would raise group-thinking kids who take it upon themselves to speak for everyone.

As for hating the ideas of liberty, there may come a day when they realize that they’ve lived their lives as someone else’s property, and will refuse to go on another day as such.  At that time they’ll change their mind about those freekeene wackos from years before, and we’ll still be here when they need someone to rant to about their psychotic, violent, socialist parents.

maat922 Jumping Jacks You said, “It’s not surprising that a group-thinking person such as yourself would raise group-thinking kids who take it upon themselves to speak for everyone”.  My children are individuals with independent goals for life. My children don’t speak for everyone. They tell me what is going on in the school each day. You said, “As for hating the ideas of liberty, there may come a day when they realize that they’ve lived their lives as someone else’s property, and will refuse to go on another day as such”.  I have never said I hate ideas of liberty. It would appear you… Read more »
