Six New Bloggers / New Motto

Here at Free Keene we’re constantly on the lookout for new Keene-area, liberty minded personalities who want to share their thoughts or their media. To that end, I’m proud to welcome six new bloggers to Free Keene! See more about them below or just jump over to the bloggers page.

Also, you might’ve noticed the new motto in the header graphic, “Nonviolent Evolution”. The next great step for mankind is the step toward the voluntary society. We are going to accomplish this using nonviolent, market-based actions. This is not a revolution. We are not revolving, or going back to the beginning. This is evolution. We are on the leading edge of thought, creating new ideas and wealth that have never existed before. Free Keene allows you to tap into the epicenter of the Nonviolent Evolution, from wherever you are, to see it all unfold. Better still, you are encouraged to educate yourself about liberty and the voluntary society via our free audio book, “The Market for Liberty” and then encouraged to move to Keene, withdraw from the old coercive society, and join the voluntary society.

Welcome to our new bloggers, Nick, David, Eric, Menno, and James! Here are their pics and bios:

Nick RyderNick “coconut” Ryder – Raised in Keene since infancy, he attended the Keene government schools for thirteen years. Nick knows that people can graduate with better education than govt schools give with their lax policies on teacher quality and indoctrination to worship government. While taking courses at Keene State, he stays involved with Cheshire TV, the local cable access channel. He’s a Christian involved with his local church that understands the difference between doing what is moral, and forcing others to do the same.
David KDavid Krouse – Passionate about getting government to stop hurting people. Anti-war, because war always results in ‘colateral damage’, another word for murder. Anti-tax, because he doesn’t live for the purpose of funding other peoples choices. Happy to help when asked, or for a worthy cause. Keene is the smallest city David has ever lived in.
VitruvianEric “Vitruvian” Manda – Originally from Kansas, Eric moved to New Hampshire in June 2007 to take part in the Free State Project. Eric describes himself as follows: a man of letters; an anarchist; an atheist; an introvert; and a lover of good food, good music, and a good book.
MennoMenno “srqrebel” Troyer – A proud member of the Free State Project’s First 1000, Menno moved to the Keene area from Florida just in time to attend the 2007 Porcupine Freedom Festival. Raised in a New Order Amish home in the Midwest, Menno embraces the strong work ethic and self-reliance of the traditional Amish community, while decisively rejecting their destructive dogma of external authority and conformity to tradition. His interests include freedom building, entrepreneurship, biological immortality, wealth creation, the self-sufficient lifestyle, organic gardening, personal growth, survival skills, and technological innovation.
JamesJames B “jjschless” Schlessinger Jr. – James moved to New Hampshire in December of 2007. A small “L” libertarian, James is a bohemian spirit and cares not for collectivism. He is a writer, musician and in time perhaps an inventor. Currently residing in Keene, NH the 29 year old works in the manufacturing sector and partakes in local free stater events and meetings.

In addition, the About page has been updated to reflect our new motto.
