The Southern Poverty Law Center is no friend of freedom, liberty, or common sense.
The SPLC is the very organization that claims to stand against everything evil and unjust…. while they support the very institution that has been used to implement the greatest evil and immorality that history has recorded.
In an article I read yesterday the SPLC is attacking a candidate for sheriff in Orange County, CA. They specifically are attacking him for being a member of Oath Keepers, a group of military and law enforcement employees who are declaring that above all else they are going to follow their oath to their respective constitution…. and not follow illegal orders. Heaven forbid.
This same exact reasoning got me booted from Law Enforcement Against Prohibition.
Follow your oath = bad.

- The Union Leader is reporting that an inmate from a New Hampshire halfway house is on the loose. The article doesn’t say specifically what this man is imprisoned for but I’m going to guess: habitual offender. I agree that driving safely is important to road travel, however, one can become a habitual traffic offender having never harmed or even remotely endangered someone. The county jails are full of people imprisoned for the simple act of safely driving down the street after having been “certified” as a habitual offender. I am personally responsible for quite a few caged human beings for this reason and I’m truly sorry for it. In a just and free society people would only face punishment if they actually endangered or hurt someone else. This fellow, whom I am assuming has hurt no one else, now will face the charge of escape and several more years in the state prison… and we all get punished by having to pay for it. (more…)
