Gentle People:
On January 24, 2011, a person was arrested by Judge Edward Burke for disrespect because he was wearing a hat in the Keene, NH courthouse. Does this mean that orthodox Jewish and Sikh men, as well as Muslim women, will not be allowed to wear head coverings in a courtroom, even though their religion requires a head covering as a mark of respect for a higher judge?

Hello readers! I just wanted to draw your attention to a couple of new features here at Free Keene. First, as you may already know, earlier this year FK implemented Facebook commenting which allows you to easily share your thoughts about our articles with all your friends. One of the problems at the time was there was no way to see on the front page of the site how many comments each article had – now that has been fixed!
Plus, the original search that was at the top right of the site just wasn’t that great, and it has been replaced with a Google site search that searches both this blog and Free Keene forum. You’ll find the new Google search box in the right column of the site, right under the Free Keene banner.
Thanks for sharing your suggestions as to how to make this site better!
Here are highlights from a recent Talkback on WKBK. Liberty-oriented callers to talkback discuss fascism and the death penalty. A local statist calls to support the death penalty.
You can call Talkback at 603-357-1290 from 9a-12p on Saturdays. Details are here on the forum. If you’re in the Keene area you can tune in to WKBK 1290 AM or 104.1 FM. The Talkback discussion thread is here on the Free Keene Forum.
