Well, Obama has won the battle for mandatory healthcare in the US. SCOTUS has let the people down again. It is burning me up that most people disagree with this law, but since the Obama administration has labeled it a tax, SCOTUS upheld the law. Had the administration not labeled it a tax, it would have been a violation of the Commerce Clause and would have been struck down. This would and could have been a win for Freedom, but SCOTUS and POTUS don’t give a crap about the people nor do they care about freedom. The US just gets less free and less free every day. Every one of us will be forced to purchase health insurance by 2014, I will not comply. Will you?
Mitt Romney comes out today and says the only way to repeal Obamacare is to elect Romney…hmm…guess he totally forgot Romneycare! What an ass! He should be in the Democratic party, since he plays the same shit they do! Actually, there is zero difference between any of the crappy, fascist politicians and bureaucrats under them. Woe to us all!
Republicans are going to try once again to repeal Obamacare in a few weeks at the start of the next legislative session. How many times are they going to try this and fail? LOL, maybe they should have thought of that before nominating (soon to be official) Mitt Romney. Such hypocrisy! Why do people still fail to see the hypocrisy that is almost slapping them in the face? Argh, the American masses are doomed.

Yesterday on my way home from work, I saw a sticker on the back of a green minivan that stated: Proud Parent of a Soldier. As I drove behind this vehicle for several miles, I wondered if this parent actually understood just what message he or she was sending. My mind kept seeing dead Afghani, Iraqi, Pakistani, etc…men, women and children lying dead in the streets and in hospitals. My mind also went to the pictures of American soldiers gleefully urinating on dead Afghanis, the horrid Wikileaks video of the helicopter crew excitedly gunning down men, the torture and sexual abuse of Abu Ghraib, the burning of Korans. I know that I am not the only one who interprets nationalistic messages this way.
However, let me be clear. I once was a member of the US military and I once interpreted these nationalistic messages with visions of the American flag, the bald eagle, Stars & Stripes, the pledge of allegiance, and the list goes on and on! I would hear the national anthem and tears would come to my eyes. What glorious difference enlightenment brings!
After realizing I was just a dupe and a guinea pig to the sick, power hungry politicians, my viewpoint changed dramatically. I see how nationalistic tendencies destroy people and families, hell, the entire social system; and not just “American” people and families. The sole purpose of the military should be to protect the people, not to engage in endless wars for profit and population control, i.e. defense, not offense. I hope that more and more people start to see the way I do now, not like I used to.
As I write this, we are only one week away from the ultimate in nationalistic holidays (at least for the US), “Independence Day” aka the 4th of July. This is a day to indulge in the orgiastic displays of flags and stars and stripes, of fireworks, hot dogs, apple pie. Parents will put American flag shirts on themselves and their kids. Parties with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be had poolside in much of the US. And on this “independence day” I will be thinking of Bradley Manning, the innocent dead civilians of the hundreds of wars fought throughout time, and true freedom from government oppression.
Do mankind a favor and disassociate yourself from the indoctrination of nationalism and join me for Anarchy Day! See Kal Molinet’s site: www.liberateRVA.com he was my inspiration for this! Wear black and display signs of peace for one and all to see! I know there will be pushback, but keep your thoughts positive and love one and all, especially those that “hate” you! Peace and Love to All!

Have you ever seen a person run over by a tank? If you are old enough you would have seen this happen in Tiananmen Square in China 23 years ago. I was just a young girl when I sat horrified watching this unfold on the tv screen. I had never seen anything like it. I never imagined that a government could do such a thing. This incident was televised all over the world and painted the Chinese government for the thugs and murderers they were and still are. Fast forward 23 years and governments haven’t gotten any better, only worse. Now people have to worry about unmanned drones flying over their houses and killing them all. Boeing is developing the next generation of drones: Vulture solar drone that stays in air for 5 years. Police brutality is on the rise everywhere. The u.s. congress and the president have enacted more draconian laws such as NDAA. The u.s. is currently still engaged in two failed wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. There is fear mongering and war rhetoric in reference to Iran and now Syria. I thought the Tianenman Square incident was the worst it could get. Goodness me, how was I so wrong?
On a happier note, today marks the 13th birthday of my wonderful nephew Llandry! Happy Birthday! Aunt Ellie loves you!

Over the past weekend I have visited both Derrick J. Freeman and Beau Davis at the Keene Spiritual Retreat aka Cheshire Co. House of Corrections. As many of you already know, both are incarcerated for victimless crimes. Friday night I visited Derrick and in the course of our conversation Derrick relayed to me the following story: Late one night Derrick was in his cell catching up on writing letters when he happens to look over at the door and sees a correctional officer staring at him through the window in the door. This is incredibly creepy, how long was this state thug watching our sweet, handsome Derrick? What might his intention be? Can you be safe in a place like this? These are some of the questions that went through Derrick’s mind. He also told me that he and Beau have a new job in which they cart the various meal times to each incarceree. At the beginning and ending of each shift, both are physically patted down. Seriously? They are in a secure facility, yet handing out plates of food deems it necessary to pat them down up to 6 times a day. Later I wondered, who are the real criminals? The corrections officers that stares through the door at night and the “pat down” officers or the two lovely activists who have never hurt another person? Otherwise, both Derrick and Beau are doing well, they both have some great ideas for the future!
