For the last four years, Porcupine 411 has been a lifeline for activists in Keene and elsewhere in New Hampshire, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. You can help make this happen by becoming a FED.
No, that stands for Finance Engineering and Development.
Times change and technology advances, and I now have a very long list of proposed features that people would like to see added to Porcupine 411. Features like live video streaming, text messaging, GPS location of callers in distress and more sit on the back burner waiting to be realized, because what I don’t have is time. I have to spend much of my time working on projects unrelated to liberty in order to make ends meet in this economy, and that has taken away from the amount of time I can put into improving Porcupine 411.
Now you can help. By contributing $3 or more a month, you will become a FED and gain access to new features before they’re made publicly available, not to mention helping to fund the creation of those features in the first place. To learn more, view a list of proposed features, or set up your contribution, visit Finance Engineering and Development today.

As one of the behind the scenes people around here, you aren’t terribly likely to see me at an event such as Monday’s deplorable mass arrests of liberty activists and members of the press in Keene. Instead, I do things like upgrade the software that runs Free Keene, and participate in other things which make activists on the front lines more effective at getting their message out. One of these things in particular deserves some attention in the wake of what happened on Monday, and that’s Porcupine 411.

Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Ian Freeman will spend 100 days in jail because he questioned the legitimacy of a system which would penalize him for having a couch in his yard and conduct his trial in secret.

As the guy behind the scenes who makes sure that Free Keene stays up and running, even though certain people would rather it didn’t, you all probably won’t hear much from me. (I have a site of my own to write for, and it takes up much of my time. Plus, I live in Manchester.) But on rare occasions I’ll have news for you.
So it is today that I’m happy to report that Free Keene is now listed as a news source in Google News. Several weeks ago, when the site first got going, I submitted it to Google News, and never heard anything back. But today, while doing a news search, I found Free Keene in the news results.
Being listed in Google News will bring the message of liberty in Keene to an international audience. Congratulations to all of you who write for Free Keene, for it was your writing, more than anything I did, that made this possible.
