City to Steal Four Homes from Families, Kick them into Street

EvictionAccording to the Sentinel, four homes are scheduled to be stolen by the violent, monopolistic gang calling themselves the City of Keene. These families aren’t protesting taxes, they just can’t afford to pay them in the troubled economy. The city’s response? They are choosing to proceed with stealing the homes from these people and kicking them into the street.

If you’ve been listening to the Talkback archives here on FreeKeene, you know that city councilor Cynthia Georgina has until this point refused to believe that families will be tossed out of their homes for nonpayment of property taxes. Now she can no longer deny it, as the Sentinel reveals the ugly process that will happen to you too if you don’t pay the gang: (more…)

Gracias, Pedraza’s!

Pedraza'sThanks to owner and local entrepreneur Dorrie O’Meara for having the courage to not only open a restaurant in a down economy but to have the courage to anger Keene’s entire population of busybodies by painting her building a bright yellow. See the Sentinel’s article for coverage of the “controversy”, including comments from local busybodies. Local liberty activists ate at Pedraza’s on Sunday and had an enjoyable meal. The food was good and it’s conveniently located next door to liberty activists’ favorite bar, Vendetta in Keene’s Central Square. I’d like to also remind Keeniacs that the competition down the street from Pedraza’s (“Margarita’s”) supported the NH smoking ban, so they are being boycotted. It’s great to have an authentic Mexican restaurant here in Keene again, especially one run by a lady who has the courage to stand up for her choices even in the face of the nastiness of the local busybodies. So, gracias, Pedraza’s!

Live Video: Military Humvees in Keene

I uploaded this live to Free Keene yesterday. Seven camo military humvees with men and women in camo, some of them armed, stopped off at the T-Bird on West St. to grab food and drink, then headed northwest up Route 12. Kind of a scary sight.

I’d like to take a moment to remind our readers that Free Keene is a peaceful movement. I want mankind to evolve naturally and peacefully to the voluntary society. Liberty loving people will never threaten you if you don’t join our way of life. We won’t lower ourselves to the level of the government people. They are the ones willing to hurt peaceful people and aggress against their neighbors. Always remember who resorts to violence to get their way: the men and women calling themselves the state.

Here’s the footage:

FreeK Minds TV

There are so many liberty activists working behind the scenes at Free Minds TV that they have launched their own spoof/spin off, “FreeK Minds TV”. Enjoy the inane banter of hosts Tobias and Mocknick as well as phone calls from God:

Liberty Activists Call WKBK’s Talkback 2009-03-21

Radio TowerLiberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback this morning and discussed dancing licenses, recording public trials, property taxes and business development, the free market and the economic situation, the violence of the state, alcohol and young people in Europe, liberty activists showing up at city council meetings, property rights, and privatization. You’ll get to hear Cynthia and fellow city councilor Nat Stout actually talk some sense in the beginning of the archive, though Nat blames the free market for the economic troubles the country is facing. While NH has it’s share of problems, at least many of the politicians are friendly towards a number of freedom ideas. To their credit, both Nat and Cynthia voted against a ban on bars being built within 500 ft of an existing bar.

If you are awake on Saturday mornings, we could really use your help! Please join us in calling the program with a pro-liberty viewpoint. Get details on when and how and discuss with other activists on this Free Keene forum thread.
