Derrick J is a handsome young peace activist dedicated to living free by helping others to live free. Now a regular co-host on Free Talk Live, he left his gayborhood in Philadelphia in 2011 after Molyneaux, Rand, and Mises flipped on his AnCap lightswitch. He loves to meet new people and report on stories of agorism in action or participation in civil disobedience. The activism that Derrick J enjoys most are public 420 celebrations, “Robin-Hooding,” and traveling without proof of government permission. Tonight is the big meeting at city hall about Central Square. The public will be allowed to speak and it begins at 6:30pm. The Keene Sentinel has details on the many proposals that will likely be on the table.
You can expect the local authoritarians to be in attendance. Will the ideas of liberty be present and well-communicated? Will roots be struck and paradigms challenged? Be there and advocate peaceful, consensual solutions to social problems.
Hopefully, Juggalos will be there to show that they are not a group and are individuals who differ, just like liberty activists.

Free Keene Fest will be occupying Railroad Square today from noon-4pm, as it has done for the last few years, every Sunday following Pumpkin Fest.

I am planning a leafleting/protest on the sidealks in front of and along side the Bank of America (Central Square and Washington Street), this Friday, October 21, from 11:00 to 2:00 pm (3:00 if you can stay). I will have plenty of flyers: one side will identify the fraudulent and rapacious actvities of the Bank of America specifically; the other will be more positive promotion of Move Your Money day on November 5, along with the ‘whys’ of credit unions, and the stpes depositiors need to take NOW to be ready to close their accounts by the 5th. Signs would be GREAT….simple and to the point: “MOVE YOUR MONEY!,” and/or “BOA: BAILOUTS, FRAUD, FORECLOSURES & FEES,” “SUPPORT CREDIT UNIONS, NOT BANKSTERS.” Just join me there…I’ll be ready!

This morning (September 23, 2011) around 8:40 AM, Jason Talley, Cecelia, and I went to the Superior Courthouse in Keene for Ian Freeman’s habeas corpus hearing scheduled for 9:00 AM. At the ‘security’ checkpoint, Jason checked his bag of recording equipment in exchange for a receipt. He then walked through the metal detector and was immediately questioned about the device attached to his belt. Jason replied, “That’s my personal camera,” then expressed that he was walking to the window a few feet away to fill out a form asking permission to film the proceedings upstairs.
As Jason approached the window, the bailiffs began touching him. At first it appeared that the bailiffs were patting down his pockets, but they then attempted to steal his camera from his belt. Jason held onto his property while the bailiffs were grasping his wrists, very tightly it appeared, and trying to pull his hands away from the camera. Jason was told he was under arrest and put into handcuffs. Although he did not resist, Jason did not assist the bailiffs in his kidnapping. One of the bailiffs grabbed onto the handcuffs, in the center, and dragged Jason, backwards, into the elevator.
The bailiff, when questioned, stated that Jason was going to be seen in Keene District Court on two misdemeanor charges, including resisting arrest. He would not state the specific charge for which Jason was arrested, only that it was in relation to walking through security with a recording device. Cecelia and I went to the Keene District Court to inquire about when Jason would be seen by the judge, but the clerk was not able to provide any information.
At the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Department (located in the Superior Courthouse), we were informed that Jason would be seen by a judge this afternoon. We then spoke with the County Attorney and learned that Jason will be seen “sometime after 1:30 PM” this afternoon at the Superior Courthouse.
