Heroic civil disobedience activist-turned-politician Andrew Carroll has thrown his hat into the ring for the race for “State Representative” and has launched his campaign website at Carroll4NH.com. There you can learn his positions on the issues, help his campaign, and get in touch with him via email.

Andrew Carroll is a dedicated, passionate young man living in Keene, New Hampshire. He was born and raised on the other side of the country in Whittier, California where he quickly discovered the political culture is more rewarding to big pockets than big hearts. It seems natural to him, therefore, that his passion for individual rights, freedom, compassion, and honesty would lead him to the last remaining hope for consensual governance in America: New Hampshire.
More than anything Andrew Carroll wants to spend his time here making this state a better one; which means retaining door-to-door campaigning and local, town-hall-style meetings, retaining as much of a feel of non-partisanship as possible, and retaining the values that brought him here while still making visible progress. Luckily, the balance between morality and practicality is less an issue here than anywhere else; and it is possible to be an honest politician with little-to-no cash, and lots of help from friends, and win an election.
In that regard, New Hampshire has already proven to Andrew that it is the place where the dreams of a young idealist can be achieved; and he hopes, now, to prove to New Hampshire that he is up to the task of achieving those dreams.

For the last four years, Porcupine 411 has been a lifeline for activists in Keene and elsewhere in New Hampshire, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. You can help make this happen by becoming a FED.

Times change and technology advances, and I now have a very long list of proposed features that people would like to see added to Porcupine 411. Features like live video streaming, text messaging, GPS location of callers in distress and more sit on the back burner waiting to be realized, because what I don’t have is time. I have to spend much of my time working on projects unrelated to liberty in order to make ends meet in this economy, and that has taken away from the amount of time I can put into improving Porcupine 411.
Now you can help. If you’ve seen Sean before, you’ll remember him. Perhaps he came to your rescue in downtown Keene by dropping coins in your expired meter, thereby saving you from the aggression of the parking bureaucrats. Or, perhaps you’ve just seen him around town in his trademark FSP “Don’t Tread on Me” flag cape. Now he joins the bloggers here at Free Keene. Welcome, Sean! Here’s his bio from the Bloggers page:
A long time constitutionalist, Sean came to the ideas of a voluntary society through the works of Ayn Rand and Stephan Molyneux. Moving from North Carolina to Keene, NH in December of 2009, Sean has been active in the local liberty movement, and can often be found doing outreach in the community, Robin Hooding in downtown Keene, and laughing at the state wherever he can. These days Sean finds the idea of a coercive state to be a childish anachronism of humanity’s youth, worthy of laughter, not fear.

Keeniac activists Rich Paul and Capuzzo were traveling through the police state of Massachusetts yesterday and were arrested for allegedly possessing cannabis and a firearm. Along with them was a female I am not familiar with named Jackie. The heroic bloggers from CopBlock.org, Adam and Pete headed down to Greenfield today to bail them out. Naturally, they brought along video cameras to document the process. Turns out the police didn’t like that very much and proceeded to arrest Adam and Pete. Cop Block reports:
Cop Block bloggers Adam and Pete were arrested in Greenfield, MA for videotaping (which I believe is a felony in MA) while trying to bail fellow activists out of jail. You can listen to audio of the arrest here.
They are being held at the Greenfield Police Department which can be reached at (413) 773-5411. If I understand correctly, Adam and Pete have not identified themselves, so ask about “John Smith” and “John Smith” instead of Adam and Pete.
