Friday April 27, 2012 at approximately 2:15PM, I parked my vehicle on Main Street and ran into the bank. Less than five minutes later, I exited the bank to find a parking ticket on my windshield.
Today, Cecelia and I went to the Keene Police Department where I stated my desire to contest the ticket. As the vehicle is registered under the name of another individual, I was told that I am not allowed to contest the ticket. According to the woman behind the counter and the officer she sent out to speak with me, my three options were: Ask my father to take time away from work to contest a parking ticket that is not his responsibility and that he would not be able to make an argument for because it stems from a situation he knows nothing about, let them coerce my dad into paying them with threats of stealing the vehicle, or pay the ticket.
Is there anything than can stop this insane and nonstop abuse? Right now the grievance committee is hearing some of these cases, particularly Cheshire “superior” court’s John P. Arnold. In a demonstration of the callous attitudes of many LEO’s regarding police brutality, here’s what one had to say about last Tuesday’s cops and robbers chase here in Keene, which ended in the shooting death of Julio Angel DeJesus by a member of the KPD:

Advocates of marijuana legalization gathered at the Statehouse on April 20, to push their cause, march in the plaza, and even fill the Hall of Flags with anti-drug war lyrics to the tune of Christmas carols.
The rally – 420 at 4:20 on 4/20 – was a collection of advocates, users, and other “liberty-minded” individuals, pressing their belief that drug laws are more harmful than good and that they should be allowed to smoke if they want to.
The advocates gathered outside the plaza for a litter pickup before the rally. At 4 p.m., Rich Paul, an activist from Keene, spoke from a megaphone, saying prohibition earlier in the nation’s history caused needless death and destruction. Paul even pointed to the recent shootings in Greenland that caused the death of the police chief there. (more…)

Despite Brad’s order, at least five people stayed seated this morning in Cheshire “superior” court. No one should stand for men in robes who harm others. Big thanks to the heroes who stayed seated in a court where robed men have kidnapped people for not standing as well as having uniformed men threaten those who remain seated.
