City Council Votes To Expand Black Market in Keene

SpiceIn a 15-0 vote this week the Keene city council has decided to put more money in the hands of local illegal drug dealers by banning synthetic drugs.  The unintelligible seven-page ordinance proscribes fines in the hundreds of dollars and will result in the products being removed from local store shelves.  While the concerned moms and dads pat themselves on the back for successfully achieving the illusion the drugs are no longer available, local drug dealers now have another product they can add to their repertoire.

Oh, and of course they can now raise the price so customers who are hooked will be more likely to steal and rob people to get money to continue their habit.

That’s right Keene councilors, you can make prohibition work this time!

If that weren’t what absurd enough, apparently city councilor/state rep Kris Roberts has proposed legislation to “remove the ability of anyone to challenge the city’s ordinance based on its lack of authority to enact it”.  Hopefully that will go down in flames, but wow – talk about a power grab.

Here’s an article about the vote from the Keene Sentinel’s Kyle Jarvis: (more…)

Robin Hooder and AKPF Agent on Free Will

2013_09_19_akpfIf you were fortunate enough to catch all of AKPF #1 special protest edition installment Aqua Kommunity Protest Fountain #1, then you had the opportunity to hear a conversation between merry person Garret and AKPF agent Jane regarding free will and predestination. In addition to the privilege of being exposed to complex philosophical positions, this visual piece also offers a window into the state of Robin Hooding and parking enforcement on July 25 2013, when this footage was captured. There’s plenty that could be said on the topic, considering that the concept of determinism was only briefly broached. Keep eyes out for further analysis to be published here. Ridley’s Non-Aggressionist Historical Analysis

gdubbs_amrevYesterday’s Ridley Report features an analysis of some United States history from the position of principled non-violent anti-aggressionism. It was produced in the wake of a tragic mass casualty shooting in the District of Columbia, which we have since discovered was perpetrated by a mentally disturbed veteran. Not knowing what the motivation for the attack was, the possibility that it may have been terrorism or an act of war lingered until details on the shooter emerged and were confirmed. Below is Ridley’s perspective on different aggressive incidents of modern history.

bdayhappyToday #S17 marks the second anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York. USA Today reports crowds of around one hundred people gathered in Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park, participants report numbers approaching one thousand. Occupy New Hampshire would first assemble on the evening of October 6 2011.

Aqua Kourt Pillage Feud #2

Robin_Hood_akpf2Premiering in this week’s AKPF #1 timeslot is Aqua Kourt Pillage Feud #02, the second installment of Robin Hood of Keene‘s edited trial highlights from the raw full hearing. The next such occasion is scheduled for September 30 and October 1, unless a motion to dismiss filed by attorney Jon Meyer is granted prior. An episode last month featured Pete’s testimony chopped down to a format easily consumable by a televisual audience. This week’s video consists primarily of parking enforcer Linda’s testimony, and drudges on indefinitely until details begin to emerge.

More Pledge to Move to NH, Thanks to Anti-BEARCAT Activism!

BEARCATIn an “An Open Letter to the Free State Project: From Selma, AL, to Concord, NH“, Dan Johnson, the founder of People Against the NDAA, pledges to move to New Hampshire as part of the FSP. He cites inspiration from the amazing activism in opposition to the BEARCAT police tank coming to Concord and compares it to the civil rights movement of the sixties.

Of course, Dan is not the only person who has been inspired to move here by the anti-BEARCAT activism – there are likely many more who do not have blogs and/or have decided to not announce their decision to sign the Free State Project’s “Statement of Intent” publicly.

Rest assured, more liberty activists are coming. The more ridiculous and outrageous the NH state-believers become, the more people will move here and get active. The state-believers are not even close to having learned their lesson about not aggressing against peaceful people yet, so I must thank them for inspiring more influential activists like Dan to move here and concentrate their activism! Yay!

UPDATE 9/14 – I have apologized publicly for miscommunicating in this article. Please see the apology here.

Lenco Gets a Paycheck, Concord Gets a BEARCAT

myVader-Sert-BearcatConcord police will be receiving a Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck, after an 11-4 vote by the full city council in favor of accepting the military-style vehicle funded by a Department of Homeland Security grant to the Lenco corporation. The fire chief closed the building to many attendees, calling capacity at a reported 70 guests. Drum circles, light shows, sign waving, videography, and socializing occurred in the courtyard outside of the council meeting location on Green Street. Media from around the state observed proceedings both inside and outside of the chambers. Dave Ridley has already posted an ambush interview of Concord police chief John Duval to his youtube channel, in which he asks the top cop if he expected anyone beyond DHS bureaucracy to read his grant application. Ridley’s coverage, from which more is to be expected later, is embedded below.

Tony Schinella’s article at Concord Patch includes quotes from city councilors on both sides the issue, who were reportedly offered copies of Radley Balko’s Rise of the Warrior Cop while they were considering their decision. After word of the vote came out to the crowd, the message on the green beam laser pointed at a nearby steeple read, “BEARCAT FOR SALE CALL 911”. (more…)
