Amanda Bouldin Interviewed on “Girard at Large” on WLMW in Manchester

Amanda Bouldin90.7 WLMW’s “Girard at Large” had Shire Sharing‘s Amanda Bouldin to discuss Free Staters and the police. Here’s part one and part two. State representative and Free State Project participant Mark Warden also called in.

In the audio, Girard references some nasty comments made toward the police during a recent poll he had on his website. He claims they “came out of the Free Keene people”. However, that does not sound to me like anyone from Free Keene, so I would like to know exactly who and what was said. I will be reaching out to Girard to find out more about his allegations.

Hundreds Gather for Firearm Freedom at Capitol

2013_01_19_timemagznYesterday demonstrations were held across the US in support of firearm freedom. In Concord, hundreds attended a roughly two hour rally to oppose further restrictions on rights to self defense technologies.

Nobody was sighted counter-protesting, though at an antiabortion rally which occurred hours prior, a crowd was demonstrating in opposition. A photo from the steps of the state house was featured in a Time magazine article on the national rallies. An unedited video playlist features footage at Fr33manTVraw.

No Metal Detectors for City Council Meetings

The Keene Sentinel reported on the City Council’s finance, organization and personnel committee meeting from Thursday, January 10.

Mitch Greenwald, who asked the council to consider requiring everyone to pass through a metal detector on the first floor prior to entering city meetings, said he did not have an opinion on whether the proposed step should be taken. “I’m not asking for this,” he said. “I wanted a discussion.”

Before allowing the public to speak, he set rules for the discussion that limited what could be mentioned. The Sentinel reported:

Members of Free Keene, a local libertarian group that oppose what it calls victimless crimes, such as public drinking and marijuana use, also weighed in on the issue Thursday night.
“It is fear-based,” said Ian Freeman, who hosts a local radio show called Free Talk Live. “It’s security theater.”
Freeman said anyone meaning serious harm to a city or court official would likely not be deterred by a metal detector, and could wait outside the building for the target to exit.

Area Man Harangues Activists, Blocks Traffic to Save Parking Enforcer from Robin Hooders

Who is the parking meter-lover (and lady friend) haranguing Robin Hooders in this video? He attempts to intimidate Christopher Cantwell by invading his personal space, threatens to engage in disorderly conduct by blocking someone’s path, then actually engages in disorderly conduct by purposefully obstructing traffic (going about 5 MPH) in order to save the meter maid from being followed by liberty activists.

If you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to Robin Hooding, wait until you get a load of this guy and his lady friend. (One local says she used to be a parking enforcer herself, which would explain his behavior.)
