School Board Candidate Banned from All Keene School District Property

I am sitting here at the monthly school board meeting and who walks in but Keene police, who apparently wanted to make a public spectacle (In front of Cheshire TV and the audience here) of their serving me with yet another no trespass order. I stepped outside the room so as to not have them further disrupt the proceedings. At this point, I have now been banned from all “Keene School District property on school days 6:30am to 6:30pm”. This no trespass order has no expiration on it, so I have been banned forever. (more…)

“Speak Up New Hampshire” To Interview Me About State v. Jason Talley

New Hampshire State Representative Kevin Avard (R) (Hills-20) formally invited me yesterday onto his brand new internet and community access television show “Speak Up New Hampshire,” a program that will be filmed weekly in Nashua, NH, Rep. Avard’s district.

Rep. Avard is a sitting member of the newly created “Redress of Grievances Committee” formed during this session of the New Hampshire General Court. Like quite a few other elected officials I have been communicating with recently regarding State v. Jason Talley, Representative Avard is a strong proponent of accountability in the New Hampshire Judicial Branch. The interview should be both podcasted and rebroadcasted on community access stations throughout New Hampshire.

Voting Recommendations for Today from Keith of NHLiberty.org

NH Liberty Alliance‘s Activist of the Year, Keith suggests the following votes, for the reasons below:

I’ll be voting for Ian Freeman because he is this only candidate serious about decreasing property taxes.

I’ll be voting Yes on Article 1. Article 1 is the school board budget. Voting Yes increases property taxes at least 2.41% Voting No increases property taxes at least 4.27%. My guess is that the majority of voters will vote Yes on Article 1 and Yes on most of the other articles. That means property taxes will increase by around 3.23%.

Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 16 are designed to increase property taxes or something similar. I’ll be voting No on those Articles.

Article 13 is for the school system to sell a property it owns. I’ll be voting Yes on Article 13.

Article 15 is to discontinue the use of the Jonathan Daniels facility as an elementary school. Since there is no need to keep this school open, and keeping the school open is expensive, I’ll be voting Yes on Article 15. BTW, I would like to point out that this Article was not created by the school board in the usual way. It was submitted by petition. Good work local activists!

Call NH Senators Regarding Medical Cannabis

The SB 409 (New Hampshire’s Medical Marijuana Bill) committee vote will be THIS Thursday (3/15) afternoon. Last year the vote was 3-2, with Senators Jeb Bradley and Gary Lambert voting NO and Sens. Kelly, Sanborn, and De Blois voting YES. Senators Bradley and Lambert especially need to get called, emailed, etc., by constituents or anyone that lives in New Hampshire and can make a calm, reasonable argument in favor of Medical Marijuana in next couple days.

Bullet Vote for Freeman in Tomorrow’s School Board Race

Bullet voting is where you only vote for one person (me) in a race in which you could vote for multiple people. This means that your one vote for me will count more than if you were to vote for the maximum of three candidates in the race.

Polls are open from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wards 1, 2 & 3 vote at the Keene Recreation Center, 312 Washington Street, and Wards 4 & 5 vote at the First Baptist Church, 105 Maple Avenue. Same day voter registration is available.
