Parking Tickets and the “Consent of the Governed” Part 4

The next chapter in my parking ticket saga has been written. As you may recall from Part 3, I have been attempting to get the Keene police to answer some basic questions about my alleged obligation to obey their laws and statues. I had written to KPD’s captain Kenneth Meola asking my questions and he refused to answer (see the PDF), saying:

I reviewed the questions you posed in hopes of trying to draft responses that you would find logical and convincing, but the very nature of your questions precludes that. Your view on these matters is obvious, and I’m confident I could not convince you otherwise.

Apparently, Meola, who is very nice about his refusal to respond and also very pleasant in person, feels no obligation to answer simple questions about the system he has insisted I am a part of. Because of his non-responsiveness, I am going up the chain to the police chief, Arthur Walker. Here is my letter to him, which I will be hand-delivering on Monday: (more…)

The Right to Remain Silent Part 2

History repeats itself as another peaceful activist is imprisoned indefinitely simply for not actively validating and participating in a system he doesn’t believe in. The video below gives a nice summary of the story of reporter Sam Dodson of the Obscured Truth Network.

Regardless of whether you agree with Sam’s motivations, do you believe that a punishment should fit the crime? Is life in prison a just sentence for remaining silent?

I had a Dream, that One Day. . .

I’m not borrowing from Marin Luther King’s great speech, although I am inspired by the way he shared his vision for what could be with others to bring about change in the world. You see I said, I HAD a dream, not I HAVE a dream. It’s 4:30a.m., and I’ve just awoken after having a rather vivid dream where. . . (more…)

Liberty Activists and Authoritarian Statists Call WKBK’s “Talkback” 2008-12-13

Radio TowerLiberty activists called WKBK’s Talkback today and discussed food vending permits, noise ordinances, “the law”, and liberty activists and the “community”. One of today’s statist authoritarian callers suggested that free staters are “intrusive” and “coming from the outside and dictating”. Listen as Cynthia and Kendall completely change their tune when FreeKeene’s Ian calls in. Politicians, as always want everyone to like them.

The unfortunate fact is, the authoritarians are still the bulk of call load on this show. We could really use your help! Please join us in calling the program with a pro-liberty viewpoint. Get details and discuss on this Free Keene forum thread.

My Useless Chat with the NH “Department of Justice”

This audio is boring as hell and mostly useless except to prove that government people aren’t interested in giving answers to important questions regarding their legitimacy. The “Department of Justice” spokesman Richard Head was nice enough to allow me to record the call and was certainly friendly in his non-responses, when he could have been mean and nasty, so credit to him for being at least approachable. Here’s the audio file.

I don’t think it’s possible to get answers from these people. Clearly the government masters are not going to point the way off the plantation. If you can think of a better way to go about this, please post your ideas to the comments area. (more…)

Is the “CITY OF KEENE” a Private Corporation?

The AntiTerrorist reveals a secret “they” don’t want you to know. He claims governments are private corporations with investors who back up the issuance of new statues in hopes of getting a return on investment. Poppycock, you say? Watch this video, then read on to see what we uncovered on the “CITY OF KEENE”.

Sure enough, the “CITY OF KEENE” is indeed listed multiple times on Dun & Bradstreet. They list a headquarters and several branch locations, one for each department (fire, police, etc). (more…)
